Little Nemo: The Dream Master

I was just wondering if anyone here had played it? It's possibly Capcom's finest NES platformer and doesn't seem to get the recognition it deserves. Any thoughts?

Re: Little Nemo: The Dream Master

That was one of my favorites growing up. Played it before I ever saw the fucked up movie. Amazing to think that it was all based off of a comic strip that ran in the early 1900's.

Haha wow, I didn't think anyone would respond. Anyway I've never seen the film but I think it was actually received pretty well. It was a financial flop though and had a really, really bizarre development cycle. It's nice to know someone else on the forum has played the game though.

If forum members didn't grow up with it, chances are there won't be many responses.

Re: Little Nemo: The Dream Master

I played it way back in the day, I wasn't big on it, it had a cool theme but for the most part you couldn't attack stuff and threw candy at monsters until they became friendly lol. Very tough game too, I played it again like 10 years ago, on an emulator and couldn't believe how hard they made the last boss too!

Re: Little Nemo: The Dream Master

Of course! The movie was also a favorite of my brothers and I.

I played: Willow, Bill and Ted, Duck Tales, Xmen, and snoopy olympics. All NES games based on cartoons or movies.

I might get the new duck tales. might.

I love that game. Capcom were the fucking kings of NES 3rd party developers. Pretty much everything they made on the system is gold. And this is one of their best NES games. Only Mega Man 2, 3, and Ducktales are better Capcom NES games, IMO.

I actually found it a lot easier than the Mega Mans or Ducktales. The train level is pretty hard but it's all about memorization.
