Nope. That all started because siliconera posted an article without a single source. Bamco have tweeted that they'll have "more info soon". https://twitter.com/namcogames/statu...88380037263361

Re: Darks Souls II (March 11, 2014) - GO BEYOND DEATH

I watched a tiny bit of gameplay yesterday and I think I'm getting more scared the closer we get to March 11th. I hope I don't get to frustrated next week.

How long will you guys be playing it when it's either arrived or after you've picked it up? I'm usually off Tuesdays and if I pick it up early I might end up playing for a couple hours straight

Re: Darks Souls II (March 11, 2014) - GO BEYOND DEATH

I forget, you're sober now. Drinking won't be a part of the schedule

I think I am set on using the Warrior class. I'll have the statue of him plus I have always been a sword and shield guy. I know you were excited about an actual duel wielder class but do you plan on starting the game with that class or the more traditional 1 hand and shield build?

One line from the video I watched is what terrified me lol.
Spoiler for :
certain bosses will be coming after you. It won't be like Dark Souls where you arrive at a boss fog and fight. Not sure how it will work but that's terrifying but fucking awesome

I have to wait until probably Thur. or Fri. to get it from Amazon. So I'll be playing Yoshi's New Island until then.

Edit: Soup, you mean sword and board. Not sword and shield.

Will I have to play the first DS to understand this one?

Probably not but I could be wrong. I played Dark Souls without ever touching or seeing any Demon Souls. But I don't think they considered Dark Souls a sequel to Demon Sosuls. This being a sequel means some characters and lore could be mentioned or brought up.

No. There is no real in-game story and this is basically a new hero in a new adventure.
