Beat the game earlier.

9/10, would play again, faith restored in the series.

Re: So how is Assassin's Creed IV?

I was trying to hang off a ledge to get out of sight of a guard and a kitty was there. Instead go hanging all I could do was pet the kitty. I pet the kitty about 8 times before I figured out I was petting a kitty and that was why I couldn't hang off the ledge.

Enjoying it so far, there are some gripes regarding the lack of variety of enemy difficulty level in close combat. Quite enjoying it despite the dire modern day missions (anyone else think Shaun looks slightly melted?).

yeah, I can't tell the difference between a normal bad guy or a beefed up bad guy. They all look alike to me. I only notice that some are randomly stronger than others. There was one huge guy with an axe and that was it.

Also, Holy shit! Some of the chase sequences are impossible, or at least 100% trial and error.

A major gripe i have is in the older AC's you could hang and drop and then regrab as you were falling. This seems to have been removed and makes arial sneaking mundane

Re: So how is Assassin's Creed IV?

I bought the game a week or so ago and I fucking love it, more than I did AC III. Sailing on the seas is just awesome, even though it's a bit short from time to time, and the sea shantes your crew sing are catchy.

What are the ways to gain metal in this game. It's way too much work to get them fighting ships that in packs.

You pretty much have to fight ships. Go for schooners (low level ships). And once you keep ugrading your ship frigates and brigs aren't too much either.

EDIT: You can also rob warehouses too.

Re: So how is Assassin's Creed IV?

I enjoyed this game alot, very refreshing take on the franchise.

I died so many times though. xD I had to grind like crazy to get the Jackdaw upgraded and as I hated the naval combat in AC 3, I was surprised how much delight I got out of blowing up the English ships. James Kidd goes down in AC history as one of the best characters in the games, Edward is a solid protagonist...just dont get him drunk. XD
