Just got the game.

Re: So how is Assassin's Creed IV?

Might buy it in a few months if i'm looking for something new to play. Still haven't completed Assassin's Creed III. It was visually brilliant and there were some aspects that they had improved from previous years, but the opening sequences with that obnoxious cunt were insanely boring and way to long for my liking, and even when i got to playing as Connor i wasn't that in to it. He seemed pretty dull and even the city and storyline weren't as interesting as the previous games. Everything was just so boring compared with all the charismatic characters(Ezio is one of my all time gaming favourites), missions and landscapes of Italy/Constantinople.

Re: So how is Assassin's Creed IV?

It is very good. The story doesn't tie to the AC standard universe, so just treat it as a side game where you play as a pirate and rob people and it controls like Assassin's Creed. Then you will enjoy it more. I put a few hours into it after being skeptical about it after ACIII.

So there is no Desmond, Abstergo, Desmond's father, etc?

AC2 was good no doubt about it. I had a lot of fun playing this game. But TBH AC:B took everything that was good about second one and kept building on it with new awesome features hence why it became a bit better and more entertaining than the second one.

It's like what Vice City was to GTA3 back in the day...but hey to each their own as per usual.

//Hehe

I can' wait to get my hands on this game.

Well it has been 3 years since AC:B has been released. It shouldn't cost too much now. You probably can find it really cheap somewhere.

Also LC do you think it's time soon? You know changing your sig into something awesome like AC or other awesome game sig?
It's 5 bucks on Steam while on sale. Since AC4 is coming soon all the franchise shall be on sale soon enough.

Hehe so the soundtrack won you over?

Yeah suspected that it would be that cheap.

It seems AC4 has only been recently released in NA. EU and the rest of the world will have to wait additional 20 days to get the game.

Re: So how is Assassin's Creed IV?

Yup indeed. That's pretty much what matters.

Why own consoles when you can have a powerful PC?

They've replaced it with being able to capture ships and you can send them on timed missions instead. You can still recruit crew members in a similar way as they're useful for boarding ships.

can you still massacre all the guards in the city or is the combat more challenging?
Nah you can still massacre them all.
