1 am isn't completely insane if you're a night owl. There's no way staying up till 4 am in the middle of the night is "infinitely better" than waking up early in the morning, which is what most people going to college or having jobs have to do anyway. 5:30 am is a pretty convenient timing compared to a lot of other countries which get WWE live at even worse timings. WWE missed a trick by not airing PPVs live here because there would've definitely been an audience for that.

I don't know how old you are (I'm assuming young) but waking up at 5.30 for a job or to get ready for work or something shouldn't be so foreign to you.

I have plenty of friends who will watch English Premier League matches at 5-6 AM as well not to mention the international friendlies which are 4-6 AM in the morning. I'll be getting up early to watch the Rugby League World Cup this year as well.
im 33 son

ive woken up early as 4 am for work, taught me the value of sleep

if im gonna be up on a 5.30 on monday, its gonna be going to work

and if not, then im gonna enjoy my precious hours of sleep instead of watching a crappy ppv

I find it funnier that the ppv is airing live before the go home edition of Impact is shown here

Should try to get on TV over there. With that kind of population, even a disapointing number could bet them the kind of numbers they get in the states.

Emerging middle class.

They dont get any numbers there right now. There is some big conflict between tv stations, the TAM (India's version of the Nielsen Ratings) and advertisers. I dont know the precise details, but i think Sony Six is one of the stations that pulled out from the ratings system. So wether they attract 100k viewers or 100 million, nobody will ever know. So there wont be any numbers to brag about, unlike the Ring-ka-Ring show a while ago.

Terrible troll comment.

Anyway the India market is probably the most difficult to commercialise. I doubt TNA will ever run a show there.

Not really. WWE probably does pretty good business here. I see random people on the street wearing Cena and Punk t-shirts. Pro-wrestling is popular here and there's still potential in terms of merchandise sales. They've got a great television partner and they need to use that to grow further. No reason why they can't find a distributor for their DVDs and T-shirts.

There is nothing in your post to "not really" me on. UFC and WWE won't touch the market because it is too hard to commercialise.
