Default TNA need to find a new permanent home.

i've been a big supporter of tna for several years now and have liked what they've been doing for the most part over the past 2 years(up until recently anyway), but its time to look at the facts.

going on the road has hurt them in a big way.

when they are at the point where they cant offer AJ FREAKIN STYLES, the most loyal guy in the company since day 1, a new contract, then you know they are in serious money issues.

sorry to say it, but tna need to admit defeat and deal with the fact that they dont have the fan base to go on the road every week, they just dont. and i dont think any kind of promotion will help either.

a lot of people have lost jobs now due to the cost of going on the road and at this rate, by next years bfg, the roster will compose of hogan, hardy, and a bunch of bellator fighters tna dont have to pay for.

and i think the money issues and budgets cuts are effecting the quality of the shows. look at the past couple weeks, tna dont seem to know what they're doing and i thinks its because they are too focused and worried about all the issues of money and who they want to cut.

people can bash the impact zone all they want, but at least tna werent worrying about who to cut and who gonna do whos job now.

tna need a new permanent home(maybe somewhere on the east coast where wrestling is still pretty popular) and have just the ppvs and the special impacts on the road where they could maybe draw a bigger due to them not going to those places very often.

i know some people will look at it as a regression, i would have to up until last month, but i think it would help tna stay alive and maybe help solve their budget issues as they never seemed to have too many while in the impact zone.

Totally agree.
I thought that 3000 people is good number but looks like it's not. And if going on the road means releasing wrestlers, they better go back to Nashville.

Really? His contract expires next month they will likely work on a deal in a couple weeks

They need to be on the road but avoid small towns and hit major cities and more promoting.
You think wcw worked overnight on the road?

Doing TV on the road is incredibly expensive. I forgot what WWE's numbers were to just do RAW and SD every week, but it's not pocket change. I'm sure TNA is no where near that price tag, but it should still be a huge bill. I don't think ticket sales, renting the arena, or any other expense is made back enough to profit yet.

Hogan is pushing this company into extinction. TNA pre-Hogan was making small strides. Respectable strides. It was the little engine that could. We believed in the product. I mean, TNA still has it's fans who will go down with the ship, but speaking as a general wrestling fan, the product is tainted. It wasn't anywhere near a position to go on the road without years and years of good will rebuilt. Like going on against RAW, this was a stupid move that's likely to kill the company.

I'd rather them tape out of another Impact Zone type place. It won't look nearly as aesthetically pleasing as WWE's backdrops, but it'll allow them to operate within their means.

Here's what I don't get. They have more people going to the shows now then they did when they were in the I pact zone. So how could they possibly be making less money? How is that even possible?

Obvious answer is, it costs more to be on the road than it does to stay in the Impact zone. I don't understand that 100%. They have to pay rent at the I pact zone and they don't get to charge for tickets. But whatever, let's say that costs are effecting their profitablity.

for the love of God spend less money! Why fire the people that make nothing when people like hogan and bischoff are still there? Rent smaller venues. Stop traveling so far, decrease the production a bit.

I feel like tna is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

for the love of God, hire somebody who news how to budget.

Yes they do. Honestly: They should've just stayed in the Impact Zone but go on the road once or twice a month, as well. And if that works, start doing 3, then if that works, go permanent.

See that? That's a process. TNA just went head first and thought that'll do well.

It costs as much as you want it to cost. almost every wrestling promotion in the world is on the road, not just TNA.

The cost shouldn't be more than their returns. They should be able to get it to the point where it isn't.

You think wcw worked overnight on the road?
ok, even if aj does resign, which im pretty confident he will, what about joey ryan? crimson? doc? tara? jesse sorrenson? couple other ones who had to be cut due to the cost of being on the road.

and the wcw comparison is unfair. wcw had ted turners money and wrestling was more popular back then

like some1 said, if being on the road means cut a lot of the roster, then dont do it.

have a new home in philly or something and go to big cities for ppvs and special impacts like chicago, new york, miami, ect.

Sorry guys, one more thing, they shouldn't be cutting talent at all because they're on the road.

They were not making any money in the impact zone. None.

So I assume that the pay role is covered completely by tv revenue. And that hasn't changed at all.

So....

When you subtract the cost of wrestlers and staff from road shows....

Seriously, how are they not making money?

MANTI TEO is in rep purgatory
Default Re: TNA need to find a new permanent home.

I think TNA needs to mix it up.... Stay in Orlando at the Impact Zone from November to February.

Then tour the rest of the year.

A few good places for TNA to shoot would be the Hammerstien Ball Room and ECW Arena
