Re: Ten Changes TNA should make

Bring the six sided ring back, go back to the old Impact look and do a talent exchange with New Japan and AAA. Also bring back the World X cup and hire the likes of Low Ki, Jack Evans and DH Smith.

Re: Ten Changes TNA should make

sometimes there are things I read where I scratch my head and think WHAT?!

bring in Heyman? the same Paul Heyman who wanted to mix in MMA style? TNA just brought in 2 big MMA names, and people have hated it.

why do some want the 6 sided ring back?
it was garbage.
I started watching TNA full time in 2010 after Hogan came in and got rid of that stupid ring. before that when I tried to watch I couldn't take TNA seriously. the ring was a joke. it was being different just to be different. how many sports do you see playing on a completely different field? there are different sports that debut, like in football with XFL, AFL, CFL. all offered something different but for the most it was a rectangular field. professional wrestling is done inside a 4 sided square ring.
I don't see that ever changing and going back.

I think Heyman is correct you need to go the MMA route to compete with the WWE.

I'd like to see actual weight classes. Maybe Austin Aires needs to gain 5 lbs in order to wrestle for the TNA title or the X-Division Champ needs to loose 2 lbs in order to keep his title.

Add some knock-outs
Show the Wrestlers training
Instead of Stables Create Wrestling Camps (Team Punishment - Tito & Samoa Joe) (Wolfslaiar - Rampage & Magnus) (Gold Medal Grappling - Angle & Chris Sabin ) House of Hardcore (Aces & Eights)
Advertising on Clothes
Real Music
Better Ring introductions for title matches
Ref Pat downs
Rules Enforced - 10 or 20 count / Tag Ropes

The 6 sided ring is sooooo MEXICO. Lets not forget when TNA started they had a normal ring.

Re: Ten Changes TNA should make

1) Rebuild the X division (Are Kenny King and Manik the only active X division wrestlers at the moment?)

2) Rebuild the Knockouts division (4 active knockouts at the moment?)

3) Rebuild the tag team division

4) Create small stables/actual tag teams with gimmicks and stop pairing random wrestlers together that go their separate ways 5 mins later, and stop creating massive stables that want to engage in yet another hostile takeover

5) Realise Hogan/Sting aren't relevant anymore and get rid

6) Stop pushing nobodies

7) Drop the whole "this company" thing when wrestlers are talking about their achievements. It sounds small time.

8) Mix each episode of Impact up, actually starting with a match last episode made a fresh change

9) Hire more big guys, only 5 of their roster are 6ft 4ins or above. Also stop wasting masses of TV time on recruitment features like british bootcamp/gutcheck, where the eventual winners are hardly seen and usually released not long down the line.

10) Reduce repetitive promos (some of them have been on twice a week for months now) and use this time for another match featuring some of the lower carders, and mention what you're promoing during the match with caption. This should mean more of the roster is used, ease the repetitiveness of the show and give the lower carders more of a chance to make an impression. Also a second match on Xplosion?

11) Give wrestlers walk-on music that represents their gimmick/personality and get rid of the generic rock tracks. Roode's/Storm's music is fine. Aries music i wouldn't recognise it if someone played it to me

Won't cross until

[X] TNA's product becomes so bad it actively makes me want to watch WWE

Re: Ten Changes TNA should make

I pretty much agree with the majority of the lists but Paul Heyman really? First, you all complain about Rampage, Tito Ortiz and the Bellator relationship but Heyman's logic is you need an MMA mix to compete with WWE. He also wanted to get payed 4 million more than Hogan makes and wanted to trim the roster instead of you know...taking less to make the company sign quality talent? Yet, Hogan is the evil bastard for taking 1 million.

You all really know not that much when it comes to Heyman and why nobody but WWE employs him.

The X-Division and the Cruiserweight Division are exactly the same thing. But it does need more members.

It's all good. It makes people feel like they rule the World in their minds for a couple of weeks.

This thing works perfectly for TNA, as it's the ultimate "wrestling promotion in progress".
