Re: Ten Changes TNA should make

has anyone ever thought of TNA moving to another night? I'm not suggesting Monday, that is WWE night. but I don't think Thursday is good for TNA. too much head to head competition, like NFL.
since I don't watch WWE I don't know which nights they are on. just Monday and Friday right?
Tuesday might not be good because it's the night right after WWE. I wouldn't want to be on Saturday night, or even Friday night if WWE was not Friday night. Friday/Saturday night are when young people go out. Sunday night is for PPV, so that's not good.
maybe TNA would be better on say a Wednesday?

then it got even worse when the guy who won the match would not get to the voting process in the ring, and the person who would go to the voting process in the ring(loser of the match) that guy wouldn't get a contract. WHAT?!

the whole thing was total garbage and waste of air time.

Gut Check could easily work it just needs to get revamped... What I would do is have Indy Wrestlers take on actual TNA talent as well as other Indy talent. Then have the fans Vote on if the wrestler gets invited back. This way you can have someone lose and still look good. Then have a tournament every few weeks where the Gut-check winners face each other and wrestle their way into TNA.

They are already doing that and it's not doing them any favor. Best business decision would be to focus more on the storylines. This is when they draw good ratings, not when they show some pointless matches. Big matches are money, but they need storylines to be big.

Once again, money issue. The X Division is the only division where I'm fine with non contracted workers (Sonjay, Petey, Marasciulo, Rubix,..). They could bring in some guys from Japan and Mexico with PPA deals, but it's not like they had much luck with their cooperation deals lately.

The X Division belt is exactly that right now.

No. Just keep the X Division Title as what it is and scrap the worthless TV belt. There are barely 30 wrestlers on the roster. World, X and Tag titles are more than enough.

1. Money issue once again 2. Good indy tag teams watch out for a WWE tryout and give a single fuck about TNA 3. EZE hates tag team wrestling. I would love me some more tag teams, I just don't think we are going to get them.

Hogan: No. Viacom pays, TNA couldn't care less.
Sting: Also no, as long as he wants to stay.
Taz: Just signed a new deal, he isn't going anywhere

Love the idea, but she will never ever turn heel. Especially not now where she tries to cater to the WWE audience and fails at that. She is going to stay that awful American mom on screen character.

This Hagerstown, MD live event was sold out last year. Why pull it off? Cleveland, St. Louis and Little Rock (next three Impacts) are fine. The arenas are too big, but if they're cheap to rent, it might possibly be a good decision. BfG is on a college campus and the ticket sales look decent. But yeah, touring has to be smartened up, but they just started. They've already realised, that these Texas villages sucked.

Ring Ka King was an Endemol project. TNA supplied them with wrestlers and trainers, but that is it. If Endemol doesn't want RKK season 2, it is not going to happen.
TNA could easily bolster their roster but hiring guys part time and allowing them to work Japan. Bring in John Morrison, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Low Ki, Etc.

Viacom isn't getting their money with Hogan unless they're getting it back in Merch deals. I was all for keeping the Hulkster but if he can't wrestle he's probably not worth it. If I'm TNA I'd put out feelers to Steve Austin.

TNA killed it in England. If I were TNA I'd focus on the BRIC and expand. Ring Ka King was something TNA could easily do on their own. Spend one week in India and shoot 6 months of TV. Then come back to India tour 5 cities and shoot 6 months of TV. Do that in China and England and you'd kill it.

but why use "Gut Check" to bring in new indy wrestlers? just bring them in and use them. bringing in anyone for what is basically a try out match but then never seeing them anymore is stupid. if wrestlerX was new and came in, then they should come in to be seen at least semi often so viewers get to know who they are.
if these indy wrestlers were good enough and interested in TNA, then they would come in and be used. no need for a stupid gimmick to debut them, and then not use them. I was under the impression from the start when a wrestler got a TNA contract that that meant they got a TNA contract and would be used in TNA. but when they got a TNA contract it was development and they went to OVW.

Re: Ten Changes TNA should make

1. Fire Hogan, or at least put him in a less influential position than the part owner of the company. This would solve a lot of their issues as Hogan was and still is a mastermind of how to promote...himself...however he has never been good at running much else in the business. He has ideas that are beyond terrible, gives his friends ridiculous and often undeserved pushes using his creative influence, also gives his friends/family jobs that are ridiculous or undeserved...And worse of all, he cant seem to let the spotlight go

2. Please God, try to give me a reason to watch TNA...Right now they have my ONLY because nothing else is on in that time slot...but if the UFC or WWE run any form of counter program, its over for TNA

Get the fans behind them....

The Fans were behind CM Punk when he debuted in ECW... Vince McMahon not so much. Same with Daniel Bryan.

I'm still amazed TNA passed on Adam Pearce

Re: Ten Changes TNA should make

They're pretty much screwed.
They really should've hired Heyman but that ship's obviously sailed.
Their best shot now would be to get Jim Cornette back in some major role.
That man KNOWS wrestling and what is good for wrestling.

Re: Ten Changes TNA should make

Every 3-4 days this thread shows up. It's like clockwork.

It's all real simple and doesn't involve getting rid of people or even hiring on new people. All they have to do is establish clear lines between divisions, tell stories at a better pace, and have realistic goals instead of "beat WWE".

If I could sign talent-- I'd scout for masked Mexican and Japanese wrestlers, and I'd try to convince McGuiness to come back now that he is cured of his hepC. Nigel McGuiness vs Austin Aries-- yes, yes, yes.
