The voice of reason.

Doing a search of Dixie/Serge and Janice/Bob finds they live in millionaire houses, but relatively modest ones. The Panda Energy website does not suggest the company is especially huge, or going to heavily feature in Time. The company has not floated on the stock market after 30 years in operation - they would go public if bigger.

The company says it has raised billions of dollars to build plants. That suggests it is an engine in a much bigger machine, involving multipe investors and state governments. Companies involving energy usually are. I still maintain that as TNA is an LLC it is used as tax write off for the Carter family and Panda Energy.

Like someone mentioned in this thread TNA needs to find a direction and what audience they want to cater to. Right now the sports entertainment/WWE lite style is not working and they are not growing. Casual fans think its a poor man's WWE and the hardcore fans are turned off due to TNA going away from their roots. They can't expect to compete with the WWE by copying their product. Especially when they don't have the money to keep up with WWE's production values.

Just a thought but why have TNA never really done more MMA like stuff after the Joe Angle Lockdown ppv match which was reportedly their biggest show buys wise. Also with MMA not in New York as i know of why not try and set up their.

Decided to read the interview Dixie Caster did with Pwtorch, here is a quote that stood out:

Quote:

Asked if TNA has been profitable the last few years, Carter replied, "Yep, we sure have. She added, "It doesn't mean that we're a debt-free company, but as far as being profitability - you know, the early years were incredibly expensive.
What i get from that comment is, that the current TNA is profitable, but they still have some debts left from the early years. Note that this interview was in March before they went on the road. If you still have a few debts open and all of a sudden your expenses go up, and your new income is lower than you anticipated, that definately can be considered as a 'financial problem'.

Meh, doesn't feel especially at risk but we'll wait and see, feels like making a mountain out of a mole hill for the sake of a cool story.
