Hmm, not really smart to do this and post that Suicide is the new X Champ.

If an angle doesn't make any sense, I might just comment on that, because I'm a fan.

Anyways, my point isn't that Suicide was a big draw or a huge merchandise seller (although he kinda was. Kids loved him, people were interested in the gimmick). It was that they've totally ruined this entire gimmick for this angle. Like I said, Suicide isn't a luchadore. He's not just your everyday wrestler under a mask. If they really wanted to do this story, it would have worked perfectly with some kind of Sangriento-esque gimmick, perhaps with less of an emphasis on comedy.

Some of your points are good, but you won't be convincing me here. This is just a total betrayal of the character overall.
TNA has had no interest in the Suicide character, thus using the gimmick character for this story is no big deal. If not for this story we possibly never would have seen Suicide again thus unmasking the character is fine, there is no reason to preserve the gimmick just to keep it an eternal mystery. Any character under a mask has a certain mystique to them but this character is perfect for this story because the body suit covers any noticeable tattoos and better masks the identity of the fake Suicide.

Again Suicide is not some sacred gimmick that deserved to remain a mystery. You're really reaching with your argument.

Who decided this was a good idea, and why are they employed? Honestly, unless this is to kill the Suicide character and let TJ Perkins be himself, this is the stupidest thing they possibly could have done. Kayfabe wise they killed all mystery to the Suicide character. If they insisted on showing proof that it wasn't the real Suicide, they could have at least shown a backstage tape of him laying face down, or have him come out with a towel over his head or something. Having him come out with Hogan with his face clearly seen and being referred to as "TJ" just kills it IMO. Suicide was always this mysterious character that nobody really knew anything about. Now we all know he's a skinny guy named TJ.

They've disabled comments and ratings on the video. People must have been ripping it apart!

How so ?

By doing this they created "the who is the fake Suicide" hook which is more likely to attract viewers for this weeks episode than the previously announced X-Division title match.

Totally agree with everything stated here.

Which I would prefer to what we're getting.

Re: WTF? TNA spoiling stuff on their youtube page.

We all knew day one or should I say match one, Suicide was TJP. There's no big mystery being revealed here.

TNA acknowledging Suicide as a mask and not as a magical videogame character is a step in the right direction. Now comes the interesting part, explaining the story behind the mask and the motivation behind the people who used it.
