PPV Main Events

Just a quick question. With only being 4 main events in the year.

Should TNA stop any run ins/cheating/distractions by putting in bans or whatever?

Just look at when Hardy turned heel at BFG. Big mess of swerves and people disrupting the match. Also at Lockdown. AnE attacked a few times then finally climbed into the cage. Now at Slammi. Something is going to happen with AnE very likely to interfere.

Look at Boxing, UFC, MMA etc. No one ever runs in distracts the ref or cheap shots someone. In TNA it seems to be the craze. Where the bad guy can never win unless cheating. Why can't the bad guy just be that damn good he wins the match. Surely it would mean whoever beats him is special. It also lets us know there won't be any bullshit finish. Let all that happen on impact.

Re: PPV Main Events

Unless it is a no DQ, match, etc... I say yes, DQ and Countout wins are the dumbest and weakest ways to win.

Re: PPV Main Events

I think the Bully Ray Lockdown 2013 and Hardy BFG 2010 endings were over the top in that the match took a few minutes out to tell the subplot. Those heel turns could have been done a lot better. Generally though I don't have a problem with interferences and dirty tactics to win matches. I think it adds to the excitement a lot of the time and is a good way to garner heat for the heels. They were done well during Bobby Roode's run as champion. On the other side, it can also be utilised to a face's advantage where they overcome all the odds to come out triumphant, just look at Mr Anderson at Genesis 2011 and Austin Aries at Destination X as good examples of that.

Re: PPV Main Events

They should cut down on it, absolutely. If used in excess, it gets annoying and repetitive, like anything else.

I agree with the Roode run (damn I miss him as champ). Him smashing the bottle was a great way to win. Even the hammer win to beat hardy, although legal was a good cheap win.

Heels have to do unpopular things in order to be hated and get heat. But as I'm getting older I feel that wrestling needs to evolve. Instead of having the Heel/Face battles. The wrestler personality should be empathized and people can cheer for whatever side they want. Instead of telling you to boo the bad guy with cheating. They could make the title's they are going for to mean everything to them. Like the pinnacle of their career.

Nothing should be banned if it's exciting, but you don't want to overuse anything either.
