Ray's title reign has been a complete disaster.
You mean the one with 1 title defense because there are 4 PPVs a year? No. What's even wrong with it?
Sting being apart of this, being a legend, TNA Hall of Famer, and 15-time World Champion, is what puts Aces & 8s over as a big deal. This is the same with Sting being run down by Fortune at one time in 2010, Immortal, Planet Jarrett, AJ Styles in 09, and even Bobby Roode last year. Hence why people say he's the (booking wise) TNA version of John Cena, where he ran into Nexus, Batista, CM Punk, Team Ziggler, Edge, and now Ryback.
I'm not crazy about the quality of the match. It'll be lucky just hitting 3 3/4 stars. What I am crazy about, is what it will do to Bully Ray as far as star power is concerned. That's the point of Sting being the #1 contender, and not Magnus, Joe, Storm, or Eric Young. They could've done Angle, but he's off working with Garret & Wes, and even HE isn't put on Sting's level by TNA. Putting prestige on Aces & 8s and Bully Ray is the purpose of this match taking place.
