Re: Official TNA DVD/Match/Show Discussion Thread
Such a good program on feud, introduced Wolfe perfectly and instantly made him a major player, would have been really interesting if Hogan/Bishoff hadn't come in to see how TNA would have booked 2010, AJ v Wolfe was surely penciled in for the Lockdown main event which would have been a great program.
I really liked the FR match, the story they told with Angle going for the ankle and Wolfe again destroying Angles arm was brilliant and the Submission fall was brilliant with a number of great reversals. I agree it took a while to pick up in the first fall, they kind of hindered themselves by being surrounded by a cage but not being able to use it. Third fall was very good and the finish was good.
Overall after this rewatch I probably prefer TP but both are ****+ matches easily. Some great promos in the feud as well and a lot of really good backstage interviews, it's a shame TNA doesn't use as many of these at the moment because they are just short 1 or 2 minute segments which really get across the feud. My favourite feud in TNA history without a doubt although watching it genuinely makes me sad knowing that Wolfe never made it to that main event level that he was destined for
