All I can think of is they wanted to change it up from where their last match on PPV was worked. Instead of being a blitzkrieg of excitement it turned into a dull excuse for a rematch. Stand by my point of calling it the worst match they ever worked vs each other.
Granted I haven't watched it since attending, but I don't know if I'd call it their worst. I enjoyed it more than their match from Escape From New York in 05. Certainly not as much as their Third Anniversary Celebration P3/Final Battle 04 matches.
I agree with what someone said about that it should have been worked at a faster pace and the AJ/Daniels DX 2011 comparison was pretty fair.
I also feel like if there were anything really at stake for the match + it wasn't the last match at the end of a long day of tapings between the tag tournament + X-Travaganza, the crowd would have been more into it.
