Re: TNA the best wrestling product but not getting the ratings - why?
I'm not from the US but from what I read TNA is one of Spike TVs highest rated shows. So in terms of the channel its doing great. Tna could move channels BUT tna first has to maximise its possibilties with Spike TV as in first advertise n promote the product more, see if they should change days or times back to 9 or not. So tna before moving to a new channel should do everything to see what's the highest rating or viewers they could get on Spike as if tna just move to a new channel without enough exposure they could get poor ratings and get dropped or something like that.
Also wrestling isn't as big as it was and the demographics have changed.
Wrestling has dropped due to many people now knowing that its 'scripted' or 'fake' which has actually lost some interest in it also due to its quality of shows ofcourse like with wwe which has dropped.
Wrestling was first a show for men or adults then to younger men, teenagers and now to kids, so its audience has changed and doesn't have a stronger appeal as before.
TNA should promote more on tv.
But should look to change to a slightly bigger TV channel in the near future as the product is good, yes u can critisize it But that's with every show but impact has been good enough we're the show isn't a major issue in terms of quality.
BUT tna should maybe go back to its original days and show more x-division and fast paced action to attract fans and show that its 'DIFFERENT' from wwe and not a 'wwe Lite' as it sometimes looks. As if tna want to challenge wwe they have to be different as copying their will just make tna look like cheap imitations and why would fans watch a show that's just a cheaper version of wwe? So Tna need differention from wwe.
The points what people dislike about Wwe and what they want to see in it, tna should use that in their show, so exploit the weaknesses I.e. Fans want attitude era style in wwe, so tna should make impact abit more gritty or edgy. So fans instead of waiting for wwe to do it which they will never do they could just watch tna.
