There are ways they can do wrestling that isn't like WWE.

1. No on-air authority figure

2. Create a KO Division that is LEAGUES better then the Divas Division. It should not even be comparable to WWE Divas skills.

3. The company SHOULD NOT revolve around the WHC. Do like what UFC and boxing does, showcase different titles during the months, etc. The mainevent of a PPV might be for the tag team titles, the main event for Slammiversary might be for the X title, etc. (this is something WWE doesn't do).

4. Get out of the 90's thinking that having ' big names' will draw in fans. Lockdown 2010 had all 3 original members of the NWO, Jeff Hardy, Team 3D, Flair, Angle, and RVD and they STILL didn't sell out the building.

There are other minor things TNA could do that wouldn't cost them a lot of money. Just a change in philosophy.

well someone is doing something wrong because impact only managed a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demo this past thursday whereas raw scored a 1.8 rating for the second hour in same 18-49 demo

The whole 'they need a better network' meme is something TNA apologists have said for years along with TNA needing a better time slot, star power, 2 hours, etc. All of this has happened over the years and the ratings have remained constant and loyal overall.

Spike is a factor you cannot deny it.

Crap original programming resulting in a poor network average. UFC was hot in 09 and now they're gone which has affected the network.

They need to get their shit together but so do TNA. WWEs ratings on Spike are irrelevant. Different time, network, the move to spike was heavily promoted etc.

Sure... and their ratings went from 3.04 to 1.89. If impact ratings dropped that much, they would go out of business. Keep in mind TNA can't pull a rock or a lesnar out of their ass when they want to.

ps: I refuse to watch any wrestling show that doesn't revolve around the WHC.

It's on Spike tv, who really wayches that channel? WWE would lose a lot of viwers if it went to Spike tv. TNA needs to be on a more mainstream channel. USA would be a great choice.

WWE used to be on Spike actually. Spike hasn't been as big of a network (ratings-wise) since WWE left it though. I do think Spike has a bit to do with TNA's ratings but as has been stated by others - the channel itself is available in 90 million homes (thus I'm hoping the rebranding plan they have decided to go through with works out --- and they get overall more viewers --- as TNA could be advertised during highly rated shows, hopefully increasing TNA's audience too). Part of the ratings problem could be the day they air as well. Maybe they should try airing a Tuesday or Wednesday episode and see if it increases viewers (as I feel like more people would want to be at home watching TV earlier in the week).

you must hate boxing and mma. The biggest draws in PPV right now in combat sports are: Manny P, Money Mayweather, GSP, and Anderson Silva...none of them are heavyweight champions...champions yes (and considered the best in the world), but not HEAVYweight champions.

The weight limit in pro wrestling should be eliminated as it doesn't matter. Steiner/Morgan did a weigh in a one point which didn't make sense. For two reasons:

1. It occurred DAYS before the showdown and two...the WHC doesn't have a weight limit.

2. So what is Morgan tips the scales at 285? He doesn't get a purse cut or given an hour to lose that weight, etc.

More excuses. Its in 90 million homes. WWE and UFC did good numbers there. Its the product, not the channel.

Let me ask the 'its the channel' apologists a question:

If TNA was DROPPED TOMORROW. What network do you think will REALISTICALLY pick them up? What time slot will they be given? Do you HONESTLY believe the rating will spike by a full point or two and if so, please give the number.
