But why dosent it getting the ratings it deserves?

Do they need to change network? Change from Thursday to another day?

That's the two biggest questions now.

But maybe they need to change from Spike TV.

Something need to happend.

I cant believe how people miss this great product right now.

You answered it within your question. IW is currently the best "WRESTLING" show. And casual people dont tune in to see 10 mins or 20 mins wrestling match. These casual viewers come to see stories that progress every week, mysteries that unfold every week, they are not "wrestling" fans, they are fans of the storylines of wrestling. And as you can see currently the present creative group can't give that weekly mysteries and progressing storylines which Russo could offer. Each week the show is either "too much wrestling" product or product based on "never progressing storylines". IWC will love this product, because they have been craving for this type of product for months, but casual viewers wont. And frankly speaking, if TNA remains with this current creative group, they will never rise. Its not 90's anymore, people have "small electronic gadget always in their hand - and we call it REMOTE". Whenever they see a less interesting thing happening they switch to other channels. Its not wrestling match that demands their attention, its the result of the match that they wanna know, its "How the match finished?" that they wanna know. TNA is living in 90s and WWE is living in Fairyland. Wrestling industry is on the verge of slow death.

TNA has a bad rep and Spike TV is a garbage channel.

Marketing and Advertising is a huge reason to do with it. You aren't going to draw ratings if the general population doesn't know about it.

Dude, that's a stupid comment.

That would be like a hockey team saying why do we lose against 3-0.

This subject need to be touch to improve TNA.

And that's we all want right?

To see TNA rise and be in the term of greatness.

Re: TNA the best wrestling product but not getting the ratings - why?

When will people realize pro wrestling isn't main stream anymore? Smackdown is dead, The Rock saved RAW and impact still exists because they have a loyal 1,3-1,5 M fanbase with international exposure.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

He said that one thing TNA will never understand is that all wrestling fans are WWE fans, but not all WWE fans are wrestling fans. TNA currently gets the wrestling die hards that will watch all the wrestling they can get their hands on. WWE has a built in audience that probably got into it at a young age and are loyal to that as the only form of wrestling they enjoy. TNA and any other wrestling company that wants to match WWE will have to contend with that.

As of right now, other explanations for TNA's ratings come out of where they were in the past. Remember what the show was like in 2010 & 2011 when Hogan & Bischoff came in? For the most part, it was fucking terrible and did a lot to turn off fans & potential viewers. Since then, yes, they have gotten much better, but they still have to wash off the stink of 2010 & 2011, and that is hard to do.

Another thing to keep in mind is the competition they have on Thursday nights. The last few weeks they've gone up against March Madness, which is stiff competition for anybody, and there are also shows like Big Bang Theory (the number one rated comedy on TV) that are right in their time slot. And then consider the network they are on. SpikeTV's programming isn't exactly high caliber stuff. I remember when they were on Saturday nights in 2005 and there this horrible fat rednecks show that I believe was their lead in (might have followed them, I don't remember). They don't really have much surrounding them to get a rub from so they pretty much have to maintain an audience on there own, which again, is tough.

As far as I'm concerned, this thread can be closed. This guy just explained EVERYTHING. People need to realize its the 21st century and stop holding TNA to the 90's standard. TNA needs to stop leaving in the 90's as well and bring the product into the 21st century and stop mirroring WWE. I think TNA will be able to attract more fans when their product doesn't come off as WWE-lite. It's been good as of late, but if I was in charge I would make minor tweaks that I believe would make the company stand-out from WWE.
