Re: Official TNA LOCKDOWN 2013 Discussion Thread
I'm so pumped for this PPV! We're only one week away! Very intriguing PPV! I can't wait for the Lethal Lockdown Match. I can't wait for the main-event! Will Bully Ray become the new world heavyweight champion? I'm really excited to see how Wes Brisco does in the ring against Kurt Angle. Lockdown next sunday live from SAN ANTONIO TEXAS. It should be epic! I can't freaking wait.

+ i'm sure they'll add
Robbie E vs. T and X title Match
7 matches. most of tna ppvs features 8, but what they can add with no storylines and only one show left?

Re: Official TNA LOCKDOWN 2013 Discussion Thread
A world title match with two weeks of build up
Wes Brisco
Chavo and Hernandez
Sting, Anderson, Bischoff and Devon in the same match
I'm finding it so hard to be excited for this pay-per-view. No matches or angles are jumping out of the screen and are remotely encouraging me to even think about downloading the show the next day, nevermind actually buying it. Horribly built, with some horrible talent, and there's still one week left to go to build on it. Not looking forward to this at all.

X-Division Title could be an RVD vs Kenny King rematch, unless RVD is done with TNA (his contract expires sometime this month). Or they go with something else, perhaps an Escape The Cage match with King defending against some combo of Zema/York/Ryan/Williams in a 3 or 4 way.
As for an 8th match perhaps an Open Challenge yet again. Morgan is "looking for opportunities" or they could have Joseph Park do one...in which case Joey Ryan would be a fantastic opponent IMO to answer the call.
Also could just go with 7 matches and perhaps they soak up some PPV time with an AJ Styles segment.

Kenny King Vs. Zema Ion will be in the card. Guarantee that'll be a great match.
In the match with Chavo/Hernandez, Roode/Aries and Bad Influence will also be there. 4>2
Bully/Hardy had 3 weeks of build, 4 including the upcoming Impact.
The Lethal Lockdown match will be some entertaining fuckery for sure.
Just try to enjoy it, it's not like every outcome is known to every match, and every match except Kurt Vs. Wes will be good. It's gonna be a lot of fun.

Kenny King vs. Zema Ion - I think it will most likely be RVD getting his rematch. But if it is King vs. Zema, it will have a grand total of FIVE minutes of build up on Impact this week. FIVE minutes for a CHAMPIONSHIP match on a PPV? And they've had what... 6-8 weeks since Genesis?
Tag Team Titles - Yeah 4>2 I agree. But 4>0 is better than 4>2. No build up once again - How have Daniels and Kazarian even got in to the match? Becuase they're the only other legit tag team in TNA other than Chavandez? Because Roode and Aries left them high and dry in a random, pointless 8 man? Great, so there's a bit of tension between Bad Influence and the champs, but that doesn't warrant Daniels and Kazarian a title shot at a Pay-Per-View... Unless I'm missing something, then I do apologise, but it is just a clusterfuck for the sake of a clusterfuck featuring the two most boring, bland and annoying wrestlers on the roster, and 4 of the best, most entertaining wrestlers on the roster, 2 of which however have no right to be in there.
Bully vs. Hardy - You have the four "tournament" matches, none of which Bully were a part of so that doesn't count as a week of build up. The next week (final England show), granted, Bully Ray is announced as the #1 contender, but the role he had to play throughout that show had NOTHING to do with the World title. He was a part of a tag team match against the Aces and Eights. This past week, we finally see the WORLD CHAMPION - THE FACE OF THE COMPANY - after four weeks because he can't leave the country or some bullshit, and they team up to practically bury Daniels and Kazarian (again, what have they done in kayfabe to warrant a tag title shot). Next week they'll probably team again and have a facedown to close the show. Yay for TWO weeks of interaction between your #1 face champion and his challenger - Who, in a similar boat to Bad Influence, has done nothing to earn a title shot other than protect his father in law and his wife. Well done Bully, for being a nice human being.
The matches MAY be decent (Bully vs. Hardy NS 2012 says otherwise. Every Chavo/Hernandez match says otherwise. Wes Brisco and Kurt Angle say otherwise) but I have no reason to care about any one of these feuds whatsoever. The booking has been terrible, the storylines heading in to the PPV make no sense, and it's because of that that the matches, no matter how good they aren't, won't live up to their "potential" because there's no possible way you can be invested in the event, unless you're a total mark for the company.
All of this is coming from a fan of TNA, and someone who hasn't missed an episode since 2010, by the way. I'm not a blind hater or anything, but the show just screams "filler" and "mediocre at best" and that's not what you want for one of your four PPVs a year.

Re: Official TNA LOCKDOWN 2013 Discussion Thread
So it looks like they have dropped the all cage format, which is good. It is about time. 3 is still a bit much and they'll probably add Xscape in as well, but hey. At least it is a step in the right direction.
- Bully Vs. Hardy for the title could be good, but as I've said before, we are all expecting Bully to turn heel and swerve us all. I just hope he wins the title.
- Lethal Lockdown will be pure plunder like it always is which is fine. Hopefully they have something cool planned there.
- Angle Vs. Brisco? Eh. Brisco is still green as grass. True it has the storyline backing, but I don't know if I trust him to be able to deliver in a match like this. Angle has his work cut out for him.
- 3 Way tag match sounds fine to me. Hopefully Roode & Aries retain and continue their goal of winning all the titles.
- KO Title match = Meh. They've already sort of blown their load on the KO Title throughout the UK shows. It is kind of hard to get invested in it.
- I think we can also expect Robbie E Vs. Rob Terry on there, which will undoubtedly be a squash. There will probably be an Xscape Match, like Kenny Vs. Ion Vs. Spud Vs. Ryan or something like that. Hopefully Joseph Park gets a filler match or something because I love that guy, ha ha.

Re: Official TNA LOCKDOWN 2013 Discussion Thread
Not a surprise, last year Slammiversary card was also "very underwhelming".
As long TNA brings it and the crowd is good the rest is bla bla bla.
