The biggest mistake TNA ever made is going head to head with Raw on the night Hogan made is debut. They lost a lot of potential viewers.

...So sad.
So:
  • Beer Money Vs MCMG series
  • The beginning of Bully Ray
  • Lethal Lockdown PPV's (Anderson vs Angle )
  • Bobby Roodes longest title run
  • Destination X PPV's (The surge of new wrestlers and weight limit period) - (Styles clash through table off of stage)
  • Austin Aries (nuff said)
  • Kaz and Daniels (nuff said)
  • The non pg kid friendly boring approach
The list goes on and on
Are not worth watching/not entertaining...Because the ring only had 4 sides instead of 6?

TNA has it's flaws, but has provided me with the the wrestling entertainment ive been craving from WWE since I started watching it again post attitude era.

All the folks not watching because of a ring shape..
Your loss.

Right Tony! They had a G** Dude,Nasty Boyz,The "Jurassic" Band an some other Mothaf&**as that didn't even belong there. If they would have Showcased their HomeGrown Talent an brought in some New Fresh Faces it would've faired off decent.Even though the "E" would still draw in Ratings,Viewers tuning in to Impact would have some New Upcoming Talent to look at an hopefully keep them interested.

Not often are pipe bombs around anymore... This doesn't have much relevance to CM Punks words of wisdom about Pipe Bombs btw..

I'm talking about the kind of pipe bomb where Sting would show up to face taker... Goldberg vs Sting... Or a major WWE star showing up on TNA again.

One pipe bomb was infact Hogan coming to TNA.

1.5 was the famous rating that also went head to head with RAW.

That's actually seriously impressive and also showed that it was the worst decision to put that on Monday night raw.

now this part is opinion also (remember that!)

in 2009 averagely 1.6 million viewers were watching TNA on Thursdays.
when TNA went head to head on RAW.. 0.6 million

so minimum of 600,000 loyal fans.

put that on Hogans Debut... What 2 million fans tuned in.
That's incredible! 1.4 million non loyal fans tuned in.

if you're still keeping up get this..

Move Hogans debut to Thursday night, Optimistically you got your 1.6 million viewers back.. Add on the 400,000-1 million fans that went over to WWE to see RAW... Then add on the WWE fans that would of watched it anyway which is purely a small guess of 250,000.

If you didn't get that and its complicated, I'm saying if Hogan did a Thursday night debut.. He could of had 3m to 3.5m viewers instead of Just over 2m... Rating COULD have even reached a 2.0 which COULD have competed with Smackdown.

First pipe bomb went off nicely but wasn't exactly nuclear due to Monday night.

Second Pipe bomb (and not so complicated this one
)
at the time Jeff Hardy was the man in WWE and when he showed up that night, he was still one of the hottest faces and top free agents in the business.... I like the element of surprise but when you have the former WWE champion and selling power that Jeff Hardy had in 2009... I'd advertise!!
instead he showed up un announced, I think what he did with that x division match was pointless. Beat up a bad guy for no reason and sat on the cage... Bravo??

thirdly.. Ric Flair, his TNA debut was nice.. Sure! But AJ announcing a new manager, lights go out, flair comes out, would of been good!

lastly on that night, they could of taken that out of the impact zone, it would of sold, it would of looked good for all those viewers I'm "guessing" would have tuned in!

So IF TNA did have around 3 million viewers on that Thursday night that didn't happen... They would of gained around 1.4 million viewers... Who would of seen Hardy, Flair, and the others. AND the influx of TNA's own which were nothing but pure impressive that night.

hey maybe they could come back after wasting the highest debut of globally known wrestlers (Hogan, Hardy, Flair etc.)

But then they went head to head with a company that reals in upto 4 times the amount of fans TNA did??! It was the worst decision ever made by TNA... Their "little" pipe bomb of Hogans debut is now completely turned to ash as TNA lost a million viewers every week!!

I strongly believe that's why average 1.2 and 1.3's in 2009 are now average 1.0's and 1.1's in 2012/2013

My question is... What if I'm right??? on those guessed numbers on a Thursday night debut by Hogan..

What if they never went to Monday nights and focused on themselves.. What if they had brought in Hardy with a bigger impact that night..

would the potential 1.5 extra million viewers stuck around a little longer than the one night?

could TNA be averagely be pulling an optimistic 2-3 million viewers by now if they hadn't wasted these pipe bombs?

floors yours!

Im just going to go a head and say it. It doesn't matter what you do. If John Cena showed up the ratings would go back to normal after a few weeks. Its just the kids growing up with 1 brand. It has kinda screwed up the business at the time. They think thats the only thing worth watching. Production is everything to them.

This company is on the right path and its going to grow slowly one little step at a time. Doesn't matter if ratings have been up and down. Things go up and down all the time. Hell wwe ratings are much lower then years back. People need to expect that This brand is acutely doing well for its situation. Its not the power machine yet nore a marketing machine.

Its a legacy that aint going anywhere but i think is growing at a fine speed. This is going to be such a huge year. Most likely just being in the road is going to gain more solid viewers. They will just come off as big league now.

Whatever the hell that means to the bizarre wrestling world these days.

All the pieces are slowly coming together. They are on the search for sooooooo much new talent. Time is key.

I understand about the wasted opportunity. I agree for sure on some things. I just mean when it comes to ratings you talk of. It really wouldn't have changed.

It will it will but its going to take some time. Im ok with that. I would rather they grew very slow then tried to push it to the max.

I don't care about ratings. Apparently Mad Men's ratings were in the toilet for years and yet it wins or id nominated for best drama show year in year out. TNA is doing well, and as long as it doesn't get cancelled I couldn't give two shits about 1.2 vs 1.5
