because when you go that muti layered bureaucracy the match quality goes own the promo quality goes down and they are not allowed to be the person that they are

bolstering wwes ranks isn't going to help the business or the consumer, wwe is a black hole of all things positive in this industry

I was so happy for him when he won the title now I see this. People can talk all they want about, "oh of course you would take it, more money, bigger stage, blah blah blah" but that doesn't wash with me. This business and form of entertainment SUFFERS from being dominated by a soulless corporate machine like WWE. Any true wrestling fan should be rooting for TNA for the good of the industry. And any wrestler there who truly loves the business and believes in what TNA is doing would not abandon the underdog over shallow BS like more money and WWE being a "bigger company".

This makes it seem like this dude is just picking up a paycheck and nothing more. Makes him look like somebody like Nash, Goldberg, Batista etc. Absolutely no real love, passion and respect for this art form. Just a job. :/

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised at the idea that King would leave TNA if he had the chance to move up in the wrestling industry. I mean when he first appeared on Impact he was an ROH tag champion. He left ROH with no notice when he saw the chance to wrestle for a bigger company. Don't be shocked that he would do the same thing again.

And Dirtiest Player, I totally understand where you're coming from but that kind of thinking is a little too idealistic for me. Wrestlers have every right to do what's best for them. I can't fault anyone for going to a bigger company to make more money. The business doesn't look after you when you're done so wrestlers should be out there trying to make as much as they can before they have to stop wrestling. It's the unfortunate nature of the business.

I do not think any belt should be defended ever now on Impact. Make it really important and have months building to matches at the 4 ppvs.

TV belt of course is fine for Impact.Which is why they need to acutely start using it.Have one form of championship match on impact.

Seems absolutely bizarre that RVD lost the belt 2 weeks before a ppv.Something must be up.

PS i dont understand in this day and age.Why anyone would think wwe is more exciting to jump ship to. The low rate guys are not getting that good of money.The opportunity in Impact is much larger. This is a exciting time with a company having a lot of growth.I guess some wrestlers dont see this aspect.

I forgot about how King left ROH. You make a good point.

And I guess I do sound very idealistic but I'm one of those fans with a deep love for the business. It's just how I look at it. And I've always thought it's ridiculous that major promotions don't provide any retirement benefits but that's a whole other discussion.
