What's so good about Magnus?

I do like the guy and given the right push I can see him potentially being in the main event but a lot of people on here seem to love him and have read a lot of people say he 'deserves' his push, so my question why Magnus? Surely joe, Daniels, kaz etc 'deserve' a push more then him?

Re: What's so good about Magnus?

He's young, becoming quite polished, has momentum and TNA are trying to appeal to a British audience.

I agree that Daniels should have the belt at some point though, even if it is just a transitional period.

Try thinking.

Re: What's so good about Magnus?

Good look, tons of charisma, good on the mic, has improved in the ring, and is young and filled with potential. He's someone that has the tools for TNA to mold into a star.

Re: What's so good about Magnus?

A couple things that impressed me about him from the early going were that he had a good lock and he came across really well on the microphone. He struck me as a natural on the stick.

In the ring, he was green as gooseshit, which is why the pairing with Douglas Williams was a great idea as Douglas could carry the wrestling side of things, and Magnus could be the mouthpiece.

And that's kind of been he's whole run. Good on the mic, good look, awkward in the ring, so he needs a tag partner to cover up his short comings. Desmond Wolfe & Samoa Joe were the next two to help him out.

On this latest run though, he is looking much better in the ring and hopefully he continues to evolve into something better.

Re: What's so good about Magnus?

He's not as good as Chris Masters IMO but He's younger, British and probably alot cheaper. Definitely has potential to become world champion if TNA give him a consistent push. I wouldn't mind him with TV title for abit.

Re: What's so good about Magnus?

If you go by the criteria of someone also deserves a push then you're fucked, look at TNA's main event and up midcard roster.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

Magnus is a cookie cutter guy. Looks good, but no personality.

Magnus has a great look and is very marketable, he's good in the ring and great on the mic. Main event talent and he's only 26. This current push s great and I'm excited as hell.

Re: What's so good about Magnus?

Dude has an amazing body. Probably the best I've seen in wrestling in terms of body frame and the basic shape of his build. He is also a good looking guy and very very likeable. Also has great mic skills, a presence and has gotten much better as a performer in ring.

Lets face it a guy who is as big as he is, looks like he does, and talks the talk like he does doesn't need to be a technical wizard in the ring. I would go as far to say him having a big move set wouldn't really work for him as one of those babyface big guy main event players. Not saying limited move set aka Cena. A medium set would work just right for him.

Dude is definitely a main event player if Impact invest and exploit him properly like they have Aries, Bobby and others lately.

Re: What's so good about Magnus?

He's a little overrated, because he's bloody young. That is buying the smarks immediately. Pushing him for the World Title this year or so is nuts. BUT: His look is kinda marketable, he's solid in the ring and good on the microphone. I would give him the TV Title and if he does good (and is in a way able to bring some prestige to that championship), you can still discuss him going for bigger things.
