Yes, Vince did not give a rt's ass about him, that's why in 2005 when Hogan wasn't even under contract, Vince let him come back, squash Orton, then leave.

Hogan is ten times as successful as anybody in the wrestling business except for Vince himself, and again, this is all coming from a guy who doesn't like Hogan. I'm just not an idiot, unfortunately, we don't have that in common.

I'm pretty sure that Vince would gladly welcome Hogan back just because Hogan is a big name, and is much bigger than ANYBODY in WWE. He is the true GOAT.

Hogan has always been about business, saying whatever for the sake of crowd reaction. As far as being sincere is concerned, I highly doubt it. Hogan just isn't the ratings draw he used to be. Most of everything TNA does doesn't seem to work. Just look at the ratings. Only time will tell if they can consistently draw on the road.
