TNA looking larger than life in Wembley

Just watched this weeks TNA, actually still watching, currently RVD vs James Storm and every single character looks like main event material. Not a single midcarder was seen so far that would get pops lower than The Rock. Now I know that their audience is vocal, but they're looking like a whole stadium full of Tonys from what I've seen lol.

Raising my question. Why is that? How can a 2nd rate company produce stars this popular? It's like every heel gets booed out of the building while every face gets mainevent level pops. This show made me feel like TNAs roster was full of Rocks, Hogans, Cenas and Austins. Gotta give HUGE props for the London fans for making the show as enjoyable, they made every match look like a Wrestlemania event, I don't recall when the last time was when fans were THIS vocal. Grats to you guys.

How big was the audience btw?

Re: TNA looking larger than life in Wembley

It's been great seeing TNA from the U.K. over the past couple of weeks, those crowds have been awesome. Part of it comes from the excitement of seeing shows that rarely pass through and another part is fans over there take it to another level when it comes to making noise. Some of those chants had me thinking I was watching a Premier League match.

Wembley Arena holds about 12,500 people btw.

Re: TNA looking larger than life in Wembley

Audience was around 8,000 people. The crowd for the show was unbelievable and you're right, they made every single wrestlers look like huge stars. The production of the show was also very good. I can't believe some people on the forum watch Raw but not Impact Wrestling. With the company taking the show on the road, 2013 will be a spectacular year for TNA.

Thats exactly what I was thinking...... every match had a mainevent feel to them. Crowd is just awesome. TNA should go to UK twice a year.

English fans don't get to see much wrestling, so when they do see it they enjoy it more. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. TNA is a company that wrestling fans care more about as they have more of an underdog feel going up against the corporate giant WWE and as fans we genuinely want them to do well as a company and hope Vinny Mac doesn't swallow them up. As for the wrestlers, the have all been built with credibility...

Storm: Been part of the title picture for 18 months, just hasn't had a clean break but wins the majority of his matches convincingly.

RVD: Been X-Div champ for months, wins most of his matches.

Roode: Longest reigning WHC.

Aries: Beat Roode clean for said title.

Magnus: English and being given a push which everyone knows he deserves.

Joe: One of the originals, consistant and loved by crowds everywhere.

Angle: Wrestling legend and treated as such in TNA with serious gimmick.

Daniels: Evil, dastardly heel who had a flirt with the title. Has been the best heel in wrestling for a year.

All in all, the booking has been great, the English fans are great and the show was well put together. It was always going to come across as having a PPV feel.

They have a WWE tour too though. The fans give the WWE wrestlers an above average reaction too, but it's not as extreme as in TNA where everybody, including midcarders suddenly becomes a larger than life superstar. Like I said, it's one thing to be cheered, but UK fans making every random TV Impact match get a Wrestlemania atmosphere is something I barely ever witessed on shows. Hell, I'm pretty sure Aries and Hogan outpopped Rock this week. Maybe it's because the majority of fans in those events were adults, but nevertheless still a great feat.

Definitely, I was there myself at second row ringside, and when I looked around when the show started it was tremendous.

Because it's not second rate. It's only second rate in the minds of people who don't want it to be first rate. TNA has bonafide stars, imo, and I'm not saying that out of loyalty. Even if I like a company, if their "stars" are crap then they're crap. They have the ingredients; what matters is putting them together correctly and cooking something good.

Re: TNA looking larger than life in Wembley

Not Tonying here, but this really is one of the best things to ever happen to this company.

I can't stop smiling when I think of Aries outpopping Rock. I feel so good thinking about this and I can't wipe the smile off my face. They didn't edit a damn thing, I am so fucking happy with this company right now. Not exaggerating, TNA has a very bright future, and they've only got up to go. Hogan was honest too when he talked about this being one of his best reactions ever. They wouldn't even stop cheering Aries when he got on the mic, it felt like an Obama speech.

th sad truith that al of u cant ceem to grrasp is dat wrestlig is getig les poplar each day and no bodde caires abot it

vinse is senile at this poiint and th growth of tna has pleateuaed nd roh has nevr bin mor than his a crapy cult
