I think you have a point, but if his gimmick and everything else is on point then maybe he could, especially if he had a heat-generating manager. And I agree with the dubbing in MMA. I don't care if they can speak English; I just care if they can fight. So basically, I would not say it's impossible.
And if Jack Evans is just a spot monkey, there are a lot of people who deserve that title, especially in the X-Division as it was. They made it worth watching, in particular because of their spots.
She was bland because she didn't have a character. Her not being Japanese is what contributed to that. Because no one knew what she said it was hard for people to build a connection to her past her in ring ability. She wasn't Kong who had this ominous prescence that automatically made you a fan of her.
It isn't impossible, but if they want him to get over they better give him a great manager because no one's going to care about the guy from Japan that can fight.
Yes and they also made it bland fast. Its a reason the X-Division isn't seen as nothing but a cruiserweight division, that is a match opener. Because of spot monkeys. Spot monkeys only last so long before people stop caring, but like I said Jack Evans has personality, so he might last a little longer.
Kevin Steen would be amazing, but its unlikely it will happen. If he had the option, hopefully the treatment of Austin Aries and Kenny King would encourage him to come over to TNA
I don't see how Steen would fit into the Impact Roster. TNA already has 3 main-event heels in Daniels, Roode, & Aries, and we don't even know if AJ might be going heel also.
