Most importantly when Aries won the belt he had a huge buzz going but in the end what difference did he make for TNA and Impact? None! Did they capitalize on Aries momentum? If you still think Aries heel turn was a huge success I don't know what to tell.
You're reading too much into this, just because aries getting a world title reign on a main stream company means a lot to the IWC, it barely got any recognition by the casuals. It's not like they got a 2.0 after destination x and then when the dude turned, it went back to 1.1's.

Aries turn wasn't successful or unsuccessful, it didn't have any impact on how the fans see him or how he acts, just a bit more improvement in his promos because he can act like a bigger douche.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

This is actually a really good idea. Self promotion, something that TNA has failed to do a lot of in the past. little things make a difference in the long run.

Re: Since TNA appears to read these forums...

This is comeing from someone who is trying to get into the product.

1) New stage, it looks to much out of date, as does the Tron.
2) Wrestlers theme music needs to have more impact.
3) The lighting needs improving, its very gloomy. (Although the UK tour looked alot better)
4) Hogan needs to go, or just take an off TV role. You need a serious GM. IE: Eric Bischoff
5) Focus the product around Roode, Storm, Aries and Jeff Hardy.
6) Change the World Championship design.

It sounds like Im having a dig at TNA, but i have been watching now for a few months an I do enjoy it. Its just little things that you think 'thats easy to change and it could make a HUGE difference to the product'
TNA are definetly onto something.

If you did watch the show,You wouldnt have wrote 5 Focus the product around Roode, Storm, Aries and Jeff Hardy. Because the show all ready does focus on them. Jeff is the world champion and they seem to put Aries in any big angle now.

The only way I can endure bischoff returning is if he's garrett manager and DOES NOT I mean DOES NOT have anything to do with aces&eights. Still, his non existence is so much better.

Right, question me watching the show... ok.

It went through a phase when Roode was the main event guy.

But now it seems to based around Hogan, Aces and Eights, and Bully. For me, that is not the way forward.

Only my opinion, but hey, what do i know

Ryback had momentum but did your casuals care for him? Aries had momentum and that's what he lost with your precious heel-turn. Aries momentum last summer is as good as you are going to get in TNA.

You're dodging the question. If Aries heel turn was such a great success why couldn't they sell any tickets to BFG? Why didn't the tv-ratings go up? Why couldn't the writers come up with any good storylines for Heel-Aries/Hardy?

I bet you were here in July screaming for his heel-turn.

Go back and read my previous response, I said aries heel turn was neutral. Neither successful or unsuccessful, if you are going to put words in my mouth we might as well stop here.

But ryback momentum can't even be compared with aries. Not only because they compete with 2 different worlds but also because aries faceturn was only showcased to that cult named impact zone to non paying fans. And there's no way of proving BFG numbers or Slammiversary numbers had anything to do with the "turn" besides pure speculation.
