I assumed these one night only things would kill the x division too since theres like 3(?) which are x division related and there for fun matches and cool spots/nostalgia. Besides any X division w/ rvd isn't one i want to see.
They know X-Division events are a solid cop out. They'll tape them with the random talent throughout to work one night and that's that. It'll possibly attract some viewers who want that but it's only a tease. Nothing that will lead to anything obviously. That's why I'm not even a fan of this concept. It makes these "events" so fleeting and pointless. Like taped house shows or something.

2 years in a row, they tried to push it with destination x and failed. But why should I or anyone let it fade? If in 2010 you told me roode was going to be world champ for almost a year I would laugh, hogan had better chances at that. It's possible but unlikely, that's why topics like these are made. Call it naivety, I'm fine with that... but not ignorance.
You're idea of a Japanese worker coming over, winning the championship, and taking it back to earn "prestige" kind of falls under the lines of expecting/thinking TNA would put mass emphasis on the X Division...
Can't even compare Roode here unless that makes me the only genius out there. I had faith in the man getting a push. I wasn't wrong. TNA could do some poor booking decisions, but they couldn't be idiots in not seeing that Roode was a top quality performer.
Letting it fade would prevent the same old & pointless conversations from coming up. "TNA could do this to help the X-Division" or "Get these guys to beef up the division" It's played out. Enough already.
