Just do it on a Friday then

The main reason this weeks Impact in Manchester was so good because it was a Friday and everyone was half drunk thus creating an edgy atmosphere.

My main beef with my trip to Monday night Raw was how crap Mondays are for drinking.

No, not really, but that is not the point. Vince could schedule a 120 minutes Iron man match between Hornswoggle and Brodus Clay under the WWE brand in the same area and would draw a better crowd than Impact. He does not need to put any big efford into this. If he wants to hurt TNA, he could easily do.

Re: WWE trying to block possible TNA taping venues

Did you see the crowds they got last week? WWE knows that if there is an alternative to their product that offers something that is even somewhat edgey they could risk losing part of their market. The reason why WWE has worked so well is because they have virtually no competition in the mainstream. As long as TNA stays in one place, with small canned crowds, they will never ever become respected or get the exposure that they need to grow.

I completely believe that WWE would try to prevent a rival wrestling promotion from taping in areas they consider "their" territory. Any sensible, large, monopoly like theirs would. Why risk losing ticket and merch buyers who may see an ad for WWE but decide to skip that show because TNA is coming in two weeks and they can see Jeff Hardy/Bully Ray/Aries/Velvet Sky etc.

Over all I think TNA has had a much better episode to episode program than WWE. Unfortunately, my favorite wrestler CM Punk will never be on TNA--but that doesn't mean TNA can't rise and for the love of god please build its own stars to become a larger, respectable promotion.

Yes he could, how ever this says he is trying to get exclusive deals with venues. Which is pointless since as been said TNA dont work the same arenas and so would do nothing for WWE. Long story short, IMO this report is 199% bs

Re: WWE trying to block possible TNA taping venues

This is true, the only reasson that was so good is TNA is hue there but only gose very little, and so its a "huge deal" if they went more often it would not be the same

TNa is doing great, they are going places, but they still are not worth the toruble to WWE

ROH is closer to TNA then TNA is to WWE

PWI reported it so it's somewhat reputable.

Them and the observer are bang on about 90% of time.

But think about this, do TNA and WWE use the same type of arenas? they dont, TNA uses way smallar onces cause WWE can easily get 20,00 or so while TNA only gets 1,000

so
A. it would be a waste as TNA dont go to the venues that WWE would try to sign
B. even if they did, TNA would not be able to fill these venues and doubt they turn a proift seeing how much those cost
C. even if this is true, usa is a HUGE place, you cant block all the places, its pointless to attempted as long as you dont operrate on the same level or close to

I would not be aginst the idea of them doing it, but my guess would be its to "set up shop"
and nothing to do with TNA, like how things set up "home arenas" so these would be open for them any time they wish and any other big event wont be there, nothing to do with TNA if so.

Re: WWE trying to block possible TNA taping venues

Meh, if I had to choose between a WWE house show or an actual TV taping (of two - two hour - episodes) of TNA, I'd choose the latter. Obviously I can't speak for everyone... Also I'm doubting WWE is going to do more Thursday house shows (seeing as the wrestlers are already on the road kind of a lot - and this might mess up the way the WWE TV tapings are scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays following the weekend house show run currently). I could certainly see WWE locking in the arenas they currently go to with exclusive contracts for them to be the only wrestling company that does shows their - but that won't matter much as every major city has multiple arenas (even their first full time on-road taping in Chicago is booked for the Sears Centre, when WWE always goes to All State Arena in Chicago)...
