Back in 010/011, Anderson was being booked as one of the top faces/tweener of the company. This is how it should've went down.
They did good by debuting him against Abyss. Instantly build him up as a heel, while mocking how much of a monster Abyss truly is. Continue the weeks having him beat up guys on the roster and getting over, until finally he starts calling out the top guy in Angle. Starts calling him washed up, and a goody two shoes. Have him feud with Angle for a few months: The All-American hero vs the no good dirty bad guy. With this feud he develops his character into the "Asshole", but not overusing it until it becomes stale.
Finally comes Lockdown. I would have it be a back and forth contest between the two, until it gets to the point where Angle just snaps. He locks Mr. Anderson in the Ankle Lock, and he taps, but Angle keeps the hold locked in as Anderson is screaming in pain. He than lets go of the hold and attacks Mr. Anderson with a steel chair. Finally a U.S. Soldier comes out and tells Angle to stop, but Angle continues the attack. This would set up a double turn where TNA would capitalize on the overness of Anderson turning Angle from a clean cut babyface (which he was at that time) to a heel which he excels in, and Anderson to a face.
Have the next few months building him up as the future face of the company. Let him have a short reign with the Television Championship, enganging in short feuds with AJ Styles & D'Angelo Dinero. Let him have a short run with the Tag Team Championships as the Enigmatic Assholes with Jeff Hardy, and have them build a sort of brotherly friendship.
Finally comes 10/10/10, and Anderson & his old enemy in Angle are betrayed by Jeff Hardy as he becomes the helm of the Immortal with the TNA World Championship on his shoulder. Anderson being betrayed by someone he saw as close to him would than take on a bitter, can't trust anyone lonar personality.
With this I would have Anderson than cutting promos on how he would end Immortal, and get revenge on Jeff, With each week and month he can't get the World Championship, he would continue to terrorize Eric Bischoff & Hulk Hogan by delivering a Mic Check to Bischoff, a Green Bay Plunge to Hulk Hogan, and going after members of Immortal/Fortune. Finally when it seems like Ken is on a hot run, Jeff injures him with the steel chair, and he's out.
While recovering from the injury, Anderson should've gotten in shape, added more repetoire to his in ring work and put on more muscle, and possibly grow out his facial hair. While out, TNA could milk the hell out of this and make it seem as if Anderson may not be able to wrestle again, meaning he will never win the TNA Championship.
Finally he returns December with a new look, and better than ever. He would be the special guest referee for Hardy & Morgan's match at Final Resolution. Instead of Bischoff cheating to make Hardy win, I would have Anderson call the match down the middle. Matt Morgan would use the Carbon Footprint on Hardy and just as it would seem he's about to win, Anderson lifts Morgan up and uses the Mic Check, putting Hardy's hand over Morgan to win. Anderson & Hardy would than hug as they celebrate with the rest of Immortal with the fans booing Anderson. Just as it seems that Anderson just joined Immortal, he turns on them and starts attacking all of them. With a mic falling from the ceiling he than again says to Hardy. "This isn't about the World Championship, this is about beating your ass".
Morgan who is furious would want his revenge on Anderson at Genesis, a match in which Anderson wins. Immediately Anderson gets his title shot at Hardy after the match, which he loses easily with interferance from Immortal. With Anderson losing at BFG 2010 & Genesis 2011, Eric Bischoff says to Anderson this is his last chance to win the World title at Against All Odds, and it will be in a Ladder Match, Hardy's specialty. This would create a sense of helplessness for Anderson who feel he can't beat Hardy at his own game, especially when Hardy has Immortal on his side also.
Finally comes Against All Odds. & Anderson manages to win the World Championship for the first time. The fans would be happy from Ken after a year of hard work, and struggle and with Ken as face of the Cross the Line Era, TNA could now start booking him as face of the company inside and outside the ring. The Age of Anderson would begin.
However the next week Morgan who is still pissed at Anderson because Anderson screwed him out of the World Title twice, and betrayed him after Morgan stood up for him after he was going through his concussion. This would set up an Ali/Frazier III (Thrilla in Manilla), type feud that would end in Anderson securing the win at Victory Road despite interference from Immortal.
It would seem Anderson is on top of the road, and Immortal who now kicked out Jeff Hardy falling apart, Hogan & Bischoff need a new Corporate Champion to get the title off a degenerate like Anderson, Someone who listens to money and can get the people to turn against Anderson. And in steps in the Pope D'Angelo Dinero.
TNA could now build Pope as the heel that fans love and Mr. Anderson as Mr. Anti-Establishment. This would set up a feud in which two tweeners who although are playing face and heel respectively are loved by the fans, and now TNA would've had two stars to be made instead of throwing Sting & RVD in the Main-Event.
