At the end of the day, it wasn't as if half a million people tuned out because they didn't want to hear a huge announcement so what difference does it make announcing that Impact is going on the road? All it would do was excite the die hard fan or make the causal wonder what it is and stick around

The guy said casuals don't care about the announcement.

I would like to see his research on this.

It makes a big difference, if they didn't announce it on impact they might as well stay in the impact zone because tickets won't sell themselves. If the company doesn't make it look like a big deal, why the fuck should anyone else care.

People seem to be confusing the issue. Nobody is saying dont promote your shows when you go on the road. The point is dont kill your credibility by announcing you are finally getting out of a TV studio after 8 years of running shows. I remember ECW's home base was the ECW Arena. They when they would return to it they would make a big deal about how they could move out of the building but wanting to keep coming home. Nothing to do with that they were desperate to leave. The issue people have is that TNA handled it wrong by telling the TV audience that they had a major announcement. A guy watching in Manchester England or California doesnt care if they go to Chicago or not. Why would they care? They built it up as a "major" announcement and to the audience watching at home it wasn't a major announcement to them. They announce they are going to run shows outside a different location. Why would anyone care? The audience just wants to watch wrestling and Dixie's major announcement wouldnt have been all that major to him.

Here it is spelled out simply. The move out of the impact zone is MASSIVE news. Its a giant step forward. But the way it was handled could have been better. No big deal. We move on and forget about it.

My favorite is imagine in 1993 Vince making a huge announcement saying Raw is going on the road. Like who cares if Vince would have done it or not?

You know what this is truly all about. Many of these people on the internet who have a voice like this writer or Mark Madden and others never thought this day would come and have publicly stated this. They always thought TNA would be out of business before they would travel.

Well now over the past few days there has been a lot of back peddling and people trying to find a different reason to bash the company because no matter how vocal they are with their "expert" opinions they were proven wrong. Instead of saying they were wrong we now have to bash how they made the announcement or how they won't sell tickets.

Over these past 10/11 years these "experts" and so called wrestling fans have been proven wrong and wrong again.

1. TNA got a 2 hour show on Spike TV
2. TNA runs shows out of the Impact Zone
3. TNA went live every Thursday
4. TNA is going no the road

You can go back in the archives and prove everyone wrong, but hey they know better than TNA right?
