Why they keep doing this? I mean, stuff like this:


L.A.X. (Homicide and Hernandez) - Great gimmick, hiding Hernandez' suckyness, selling merch very well (according to 2008 reports), over. What are we gonna do with them? Let's break them up, push Hernandez and... FAIL! FAK!

The Beautiful People (Angelina and Sky) - Great gimmick, hiding Velvet's suckyness, over. What are we gonna do with them? Break them up, ruin Angelina Love's career(thanks Russo) and push Velvet Fucking Sky to the moon. Alright, Velvet might be over ( with fat teenage chicks and horny fuckers) , but TBP gimmick was just as over except it was.. you know... GOOD aka not shitty as all hell like Velvet's matches and promos. FAK!

And it looks like it's gonna happen yet again. Robbie E and Robbie T - Fun gimmick, hiding Robbie E's And Rob Terry's suckyness, over. What are we gonna do with them? Apparently, we're gonna break them up and push Rob freaking Terry... Wow... Because it worked so well in 2010, right TNA? FAK!


Why TNA keeps doing this? I just don't get it. I really don't...

What ruined them was they all went on to long, and no you cant, evrey thing has to chnage a good writer would keep it going by doing something else.

It's really hard to maintain the same gimmick forever successfully, take RVD for example.

When he initially burst on the scene he was exciting, innovative etc. and when you take a look at him now, Bob's got 'stale' written all over him.

I'm talking about GOOD gimmicks. What you are saying is basically - "No, Shawn Michaels can't be The Heartbreak Kid, even though it's working. Let's give him that TL Hopper gimmick, because we need to change things every year"

It's a gimmick. It's either working or it's not. If it's working - Write good shit for them and roll with it. Don't kill it.

Good? More like entertaining. Hiding Velvet's shitfests, etc,etc.

TBP went on for ages, they kept adding people to it (LAcey Von Erich, Madison Rayne) but it was still predictable. LAX was replaced with LAX mkII.

How many times do you really want to hear 'u r ugly blah blah blah im gna cut ur hair off bitch' or 'blah blha blah we r mexicans amerikka sux and u all sux in da crowd and we r from mexico rwarrr'?

I'll give you both those and LAX as examples of gimmicks which have not been replaced, but not that they shouldn't have split them up.

Splitting up LAX was daft. It lead to nothing except for one of the worst singles runs for somebody in Hernandez and the eventual demise for Homicide's TNA career. On top of that they dwindled down their already shrinking tag team division.

Now if things would have turned out positive...maybe it wouldn't have been so bad. Maybe.

I get it, disagree, any gimmick no matter what plats its course, and while there still may be more that can be used, it still wears down, an exsample Rock, hugely popular, he had to change
HHH, while not "amazing" his blue blood time was a midcard threat at a point in time that was something to be proud of

even if you can keep writing new stuff for it, the fact that the gimmick is so old takes away form the story
Also HBK DID chnage his gimmick, its called dx, his return in 2002, his MR wrestling years a gimick chnage dotn always mean name chnaged or stuff like that but they are needed and it happen to HBK a lot
