Most of the time, tag team wrestling is used to get stars over in order to get them more popular as singles stars. Robbie and Robbie T bore me to hell, I mean, even if Robbie E is funnier than Zack Ryder, it doesn't mean that Chavo is a good worker because he's better than Ryback. Robbie E and Robbie T still suck.

That's a pretty popular myth on the net. However, it's just a myth.
While the whole thing with Konnan was a great storyline, it was just a storyline aka the best chapter of their great gimmick. L.A.X. was never in that 'Die Rocky Die' or 'X-Pac heat' or 'Dead crowd' territory. L.A.X. 2008 was TNA's top babyface team, one of their top merch sellers and over with everyone (internet fans and the crowd). And you call that 'dead'?

Not every breakup is gonna be as productive as Beer Money or The Hardy Boyz, things might work to begin with, doesn't mean you shouldnt change them. Cena was fantastic in 2006-2008, he's terrible now. Because he's stale.

If they didn't split up teams and change characters we'd have had "Stunning steve austin", Hunter hearst helmsley, and rocky mavia.
Get some business sense.

Yeah, TNA ruins everything...
Do you guys understand that you basically compare SCSA, Bully Ray, etc to Rob Fucking Terry and Hernandez? Can you see the difference? I'm not saying 'Breaking good stuff up is wrong', I'm saying - 'Turning good/passable stuff into fucking shit is wrong'. And TNA loves doing that for whatever reason.

No, it's not.
I've been watching TNA since 2005 and stopped around 2009-2010 for obvious reasons until impact wrestling... but LAX with konan was a stable, I mean a really badass one with motives and booking behind not just a generic latino tag team. Hernandez and Homicide in 2008 were what joe/nashbitch 2008 was to samoa joe in 2006.
There was most def. some "internet fans" not buying the new LAX and I was one of them.

Well...I mean obviously it was the same team. So I'm not exactly sure what people mean by it "dying". Someone could say the luster of the team's mass appeal died when Konnan split.

Think people need to specify here.

Once again - You're saying that the LAX with Konnan was better, which is not what we're discussing here.
Also, you can't compare a cool heel stable (great) to a SUCCESSFUL version of Chavo and Hernandez(good). There was nothing 'dead' about them whatsoever.

LAX with Konnan was sick as fuck though.

My god, watching that video with that theme always gets me pumped. And they were so awesome too, Konnan was an awesome mouthpiece, Homicide had the in-ring work, and Hernandez had "the look". We need something else like that in wrestling.

Hernandez was dynamic as hell with Homicide during their tenure. Made you actually think he would be good if he got a singles push. I'll give the guy his due. The constant demolition of Border Tosses on his opponents, or victims in the case of Gail Kim, was one of my favorite highlights of 2006.

Very edgy and hip, when you think about it, more shit like that would really be "cool" and help TNA shake the usual "fake and gay" image that wrestling has gained over the years.
