i guess the main event scene is far more important than tag teams

LAX was dead after Konnan left. They tried adding Salinas, Hector Guerrero, and nothing could pull of LAX like Konnan did.

The Beautiful People ended initially because of Angelina's visa issues and not because they goofed and wanted to ruin the group.

I see your point, but who's to say that they won't fix that? They will most definitely need to if they're going to maximize their product. The two things that you mention are the two serious things I take issue with, and the Knockouts division, which also added popularity. So here's to them fixing it, because hopefully they won't be stupid enough not to. I actually tweeted Dixie about it last night. I don't tweet often anymore so I don't know what people tweet to her, but since she's very active on there I hope people will be tweeting about the X-Division, the tag division, and the Knockouts division needing a serious overhaul. If we keep asking for it and being very vocal, I would hope they would listen. It's counterproductive to merely complain about what we want without making our desires known to those who have sway to fix them; I think I will keep tweeting her and their main Twitter about it from time to time. #optimism

To the topic, I think people are making some great points for the rebuttal. And I don't like the Robbies, but I do admit I like Rob Terry in a sweater. When Robbie E mentioned Jersey Shore being canceled I knew the writing was on the wall. Better to let something fade out than to become an anachronism. The Beautiful People were my favorite female stable, and I'm actually glad that Velvet still uses the theme. I can't say I wouldn't be against them forming again, but what else could they do at this point that hasn't already been done? But TBP did play to Velvet Sky's strengths, except she always would make these horrible screeching sounds when she'd wrestle. I'd always think, "Whyyyy??" Annoying as crap. And Lacey von Erich...Pretty woman, but thank goodness she's gone.

No no no no no no. I get you were trying to make a point there, but no.
The tag and X divisions may have helped the hardcore fans to notice them, but they didnt make TNA as popular as it is today. The big names that kept coming in made TNA popular.
But on topic, Thomas, Joe, and Amber B pretty much said it best already

Storyline development dumbass.
Wrestlers need to change, some of them will end up better, some will end up worse.
Not every breakup is gonna be as productive as Beer Money or The Hardy Boyz, things might work to begin with, doesn't mean you shouldnt change them. Cena was fantastic in 2006-2008, he's terrible now. Because he's stale.
If they didn't split up teams and change characters we'd have had "Stunning steve austin", Hunter hearst helmsley, and rocky mavia.
Get some business sense.

Once Konnan left LAX, it was dead. Neither Homicide or Hernandez could talk and their credibility was low when they didn't have Konnan getting heat for them.
As far as Robbie E and Robbie T goes, the act can't go on forever. Robbie T and Rockstar Spud are the absolute perfect pair to be tied to each other. Spud needs a large man next to him and Spud is funny and can work enough to hide Rob Terry's weaknesses. Robbie E on the other hand is bullet proof. He will be over whatever they give him. Hopefully he hooks up with Jessie and Tara. There's chemistry there.

Re: "It's working? Let's ruin it!" - TNA
I'm more upset about where the tag team division and knockout division have gone in the past few years. The tag team and Knockouts set TNA apart from WWE. Now TNA neglects them just as bad as WWE. There is really nothing that separate TNA from WWE now except for TNA's ridiculous over the top angles which are more comedy than anything.

If Hollywood Blondes never broke up we might not have had Austin. If APA never broke up we would never have had the awesomeness that was JBL, if Team 3D never broke up Bully might not be in the best shape of his career and doing Bully Ray.
