Re: 1/31 IMPACT Wrestling from England with OPEN FIGHT NIGHT!

Sting walks out to the ring, and walks in. He looks at Bully Ray and Hogan. One of the first times anybody else in the ring has had more make-up on than him.

In all seriousness though, pretty good show. Thought Magnus’ return was done kinda badly though and too “kiss-up babyface”ish, but okay I guess. Decent match with Devon, nice to see Park pick up the W, didn’t like how Chavo made it look like he was gonna beat Aries though as Aries is 100x better, BUT EPIC CROWD HOLY SHIT. EPIC CROWD HOLY SHIT. I’m going to write it 5 more times so you guys get it.

EPIC CROWD HOLY SHIT.

EPIC CROWD HOLY SHIT.

EPIC CROWD HOLY SHIT.

EPIC CROWD HOLY SHIT.

EPIC CROWD HOLY SHIT.

I was marking out for the Austin Aries chants the whole time. MANCHESTER I LOVE YOU.

AND HOLY SHIT, TNA IS GOING ON THE ROAD.

This is the best show I can remember, not Tony’ing here, but honestly, I think this really was one of the best shows I have ever seen in terms of Impact, but then again, I haven’t seen the last 2 UK shows.

Also, Storm got no reaction from the crowd from what I saw, very little pop compared to AUUSTIN ARIEEEESSSS!!!!

Epic show. 9.5/10. Not enough ass shots for Velvet Sky. Anderson/Angle was ok.

I really liked Taz’ commentary too tonight, not how he did it but more the script how he bullied Todd Kennely, and mentioned bodybags. That was edgy shit there.

Great show, I’m gonna stop marking and stretching up the entire page, but I really enjoyed it.

TV ratings breakdown up tomorrow, should be really good. Impact is doing very well, these next 3 shows without Hardy will probably be great, though awkward without the fucking World Champion.

So was this the greatest show ever?

Seriously, marks fuck off. I'm honestly asking if it was pretty good.

It was pretty good. Park as always was tremendous, the main event was good and nothing was flat out terrible.

Watched a bit on Youtube, have the crowd been dubbed in parts?

Also: @ Roode saying "Wankers" Just as good as when Triple H called the UK "Sheep Shaggers."

Just finished it. Park was the tops. Main event was bleh. Not horrible, but nothing I'd care to watch again. Fully expected with Angle vs Anderson of course. The fact they busted out finishers only to have it end on a random ankle lock was piss poor. Can't say as I'm surprised. That's how every Kurt Angle match is worked.

Fun show overall, imo. Aries got Chavo to something watchable. So, it's more or less a success. Oh and they moved along the Aces angle with Bischoff & Brisco. Sure they suck, but it's finally progressing. I'll take it.

Re: 1/31 IMPACT Wrestling from England with OPEN FIGHT NIGHT!

It was an ok Impact, nothing terrible. Magnus/D-Von was a bit boring, and a slow match. Anyway it was just another A&E loss in the end. Park/Robbie E. was just another fun match of Joseph. I really like his character and I believe that he shouldn't change in Abyss again.

Chavo/Aries wasn't bad, but it had Chavo, so it wasn't entertaining. Aries had some very nice spots in this match, like that corner dropkick. I wonder, if that was the best that they could have done with Storm in Manchester. I mean really his match was just bad, but not because of him.

The main-event was ok, a pretty basic cage match. I liked this, because they reallu used the cell in their advantage. I loved that Angle Slam from the top rope

Re: 1/31 IMPACT Wrestling from England with OPEN FIGHT NIGHT!

None of the matches were worth a second viewing (well, maybe Park's) but it brought the entertainment in general. Anderson losing doesn't help Aces. Luckily the reveal managed to balance it out. Only TNA needs to not go so even steven with the booking. Aces winning a match AND getting the upper hand post-match would certainly be fitting for the group trying to seize control or whatever it is they're there for.

Loving the whole GREATEST SHOW EVER vs meh debate.

Dat finisher by GOAT Park, "Case closed"

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.
