Plenty of smaller feds are still under the NWA. The belt just gets defended at various promotions at the discretion of the Alliance. I'm not sure of details, what companies, etc.

NWA Hollywood and Anarchy/Wildside were actually pretty good programs. I enjoyed them.

To shandcraig, basically every post you make in this forum involves the TNA/Impact Wrestling name issue. Seriously, EVERY SINGLE POST. Lol... I think you're a bit overestimating here. I'd be willing to bet that TNA remains the company name indefinitely. The fact is, the people running the company do not know what to call it. I don't care if Jarrett said one thing, cause Hogan and Angle said different. One of TNA's top officials posted online saying it would remain the name (TNA) and Impact Wrestling was the program.

They've dug themselves into a hole because they didn't have a definite plan. What company goes back and forth between one name and the other? They spent months AVOIDING TNA entirely until it was time for Bound for Glory. Wrestlers were even calling the belt the Impact Wrestling WHC. And then all of a sudden TNA pops up around the build for BFG. It made no sense and confused people.

I pretty much guarantee you they are not changing the company name. They just started up the TNA Hall of Fame last year and they were already "Impact Wrestling" by then. Are they gonna change it to the "Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame"? No.

Is the UFC Hall of Fame named the Zeffa Hall of Fame? No. Neither is TNA's. it will remain TNA. You've been confused just like everybody else.

They will keep it but as the behind the scenes name.Youve not been following all of the litle things they have been changing from TNA to promoting under Impact wrestling.In the last several months. Hell the "One night only" events had the Impact wrestling theme.Thats not a spoil its just the visual aspect of it.

Yes they are deep in a hole of promoting the visual out of Impact wrestling. and yess they have been not saying it on tv as much though.

They will continue to be stuck between it and will have to pick one or the other.

They didn't sound generic back when they were still around. They sounded normal. The point back then was to sound legitimate, to lend credence to each brand. Not to sound "unique."

They already have it decided. It's remaining TNA. Guess what, they JUST filmed the new UK special and it's called TNA Backstage Pass. In the promo, they refer to "TNA Impact Wrestling Superstars"... They created TNA Gutcheck. TNA British Bootcamp. These were all after IW was created. So why are they not called Impact Wrestling Backstage Pass? Or Impact Wrestling Gutcheck?

The Thursday night program is called Impact Wrestling. That's it. I promise, you will keep posting your theories and in a year's time, it will STILL be TNA. The show is Impact Wrestling.

TNA has ALWAYS been the production name. TNA Entertainment is the parent company of TNA Wrestling. All the PPV's and TV specials have always been promoted as "TNA Wrestling Presents..." long before Impact Wrestling came around. It's just like "WWE Presents..."

Back then, yeah. Wrestling was credible and was seen as an actual sport. In this day and age, it's far from. Whether that's people moving on because they grew out of it or the writing over the years pushing people away is irrelevant. It's just those names are generic in 2013 and would've been even 10 years ago.

A name like Ring of Honor does so much more than those old school names. Sure, it's wrestling, but you have boxing and MMA take place in a ring. It being a ring of two honorable men is a straight forward concept. If they had the star power of the marketing money, they'd have their brand sorted based on the name alone.

Then you and I aren't at odds here. I never said they should change the name to WCCW or AWA. That's something you pulled out of the collection of posts whenever you said the IWC shouldn't name things. I agree with you - today a legit name isn't necessary because wrestling has been exposed. Honestly I don't like the ROH name, but to each their own. It seems that the "honor" thing could only go so far as mainstream appeal goes.

So whatever I said that might have offended you, my apologies. But clearly we were on the same page from the start.
