Yup. Opinionated, albeit optimistic fans > Perpetually negative, toxic "fans".
Being "real" or realistic is actually different
from being flat-out negative. Some people don't seem to know how to at least find that happy medium. No, wait-and-see, just straight to the negativity. And I truly believe that nothing will please them more than to be "right." I could be wrong, but it seems more mentally productive to focus on the real issues, cause even if they are on the road now, which people begged for
, then they still need to deal with the tag, x, and Knockouts divisions. The three biggest things they have going now are a dragged out angle with a loser stable, Bully/Brooke/Hogan, and the main event scene, with a smattering of greatness from Aries/Roode and Bad Influence. That's a problem, especially when two of your biggest angles are not even about the titles at all. I could even argue that Aries/Roode also isn't really about the tag titles either; it's obvious that it's just giving them something to do, given that the tag division is in tatters. That is a big problem.
I don't mind people marking out if they want to; that's positive energy sent in the direction of the company. But it would also be good to make sure to let TNA know directly that the real issues need to be addressed. Sometimes I vaguely and briefly wonder what some posters' lives are like. I get a sense of a no-hope household when you can criticize progress, which is actually progress in response to something that people have been demanding for years
I certainly don't begrudge people their opinions or their skepticism
, but the pattern of negativity is a bit much.
I've been thinking these past couple of days that it's an exciting time to be a wrestling fan again. Given that I love it so much, that's worth getting excited and hopeful about.
