This. Just because some people aren't excited or looking forward to something doesn't mean they have to begrudge other people their excitement. I'm a wait-and-see person who leans towards optimism, so I'm more, "Good for them" than "OMGee!", but getting irritated about someone's excitement over the apparent progression of something they like is selfish. WTF. Given how much people complain and bemoan this thing or that they don't like, it's nice to see people happy about something, especially on the internet. smdh
If it turns out well, wonderful; if it's not time for them to take that step but they're trying it anyway, good on them and maybe it'll work in the future. To put it in the vernacular for the negative nags, "Why won't you let them be great?" And if you don't get the phrase, don't worry about it.
