Re: TNA is going on the road starting in March!

Like others have said, I'm all for TNA taking Impact on the road - but the key is promoting the hell out of those shows. That has always been their biggest weakness and they will need to aggressively advertise in the markets they will be visiting.

WWE does an excellent job of promoting their shows through radio advertising in my area - TNA absolutely needs to do the same. They usually begin promoting a show about a month and a half in advance, and when they're finally in town usually have a personality on air with the station they advertise on the most (it's usually the morning of the show or sometimes a day before). It's a good model & one that TNA would be smart to copy.

TNA has one advantage over WWE and that is their cost-structure. Basically the Impact zone. The lower costs (much lower), the work friendly environment for the wrestlers who don't have to be on the road....

They are taking a huge financial risk with this change and the biggest problem, the way I see it, is that they can't sell tickets to PPV's outside of Florida. Why would they be able to sell tickets to Impact tapings?
Have you paid any attention to TNA over the last year? Slammaversary was their largest US crowd to date and Bound for Glory did good, both on the road. And newsflash, "hardcore fans" aren't the only ones wanting them to get out of the IZ, the talent does too I bet.

Re: TNA is going on the road starting in March!

How this did went from "good new for TNA" to "we coming for you niga (wwe)"? bah

Dixie and Hogan should use last year slammiversary as a example on how to advertise a show.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

Slammiversary was good for them even if they didn't sell out. BFG and Lockdown last year? No not so much. I think the crowds could be considered disappointing.

Didn't they do an outdoors house show in New York years ago that did more than Slammiversary's 5000 ?

Re: TNA is going on the road starting in March!

BFG was in a 5,000-seat arena and they drew 3,000 with the stage blocking seats off. That's not terrible.
