Storm's a weird one. Personally, I like his gimmick and his mic work. And he's competent in the ring at worst, with occasional brilliant matches against the right opponent, at his best.
Trouble is, I see him as a definite main eventer but I don't see him as a potential champ. That's an odd and precarious place to be. I wonder if management feels the same way bearing in mind they keep giving him shots at the belt, then undermining him at the last minute.
But credit where it's due - the Roode feud was fantastic, and it wasn't just Roode doing all the leg work with it - Storm more than pulled his weight.
But as I say, I just can't get excited by the prospect of him winning the belt, and that's a problem in the long term.
