Though 3,500 seats sold doesn't seem bad at all, especially in a place where the capacity might be like 5,000 for a wrestling event in the first place.
NO, what im saying is : If it was worth it for TNA they would already be running shows in canada, having been there before. There's probably a reason why they ran one PPV there and never went back. They come to the U.K once a year and return every year because it HIGHLY profitable.

I'm all for anything out of the impact zone and especially anything out of the states since they seem to have good fanbase. Canada would mean some awesome Bobby Roooo praising too

Canadians tend to love technical wrestlers like Aries Roode ect.

I know canada has had a history for wrestling being popular. So i think Impact Wrestling just needs to market and Canadians would come.

Dixie has said that she wants to travel more but she does not want to do anything that would potentially end the careers of her current crop of wrestlers. IW may want to stick with what they are comfortable with until they have a more dispensable income. I am sure that Dixie and the higher-ups in IW know what to do as far as touring goes and it would not surprise me if they did do some more events in Canada or even some down under.

There's some overestimation of the market for wrestling in Canada going on in this thread. Sure, it'd be nice if more companies, such as TNA, toured here regularly but we have a small population spread out over a massive country. Once you go beyond Montréal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver (which are not right next door to each other) you start hitting the smaller urban centres. Maybe Edmonton or Ottawa top 1,000,000 in population but that's it. The majority of Canadian cities have fewer than 300,00 people.

I'm from one of these low population cities. It's a long-time, traditional grass roots wrestling community with independent shows and training that's produced WWE talent. Major international sporting events and big names concerts have been held successfully, so people will come for what they know but TNA is drawing from a much smaller recognition pool than say, Bruce Springsteen or U2. While I'd love to see TNA give the place a house or televised show, and there are the proper facilities to do it, I'm not sure they'd make enough to cover the travel costs. Would still be awesome if they'd try, but not a sure thing financially at all and this would be the case for most parts of Canada. It's nothing like touring the UK or sticking close to home base in the southern US.

I KNOW

We get NOTHING here in Vancouver, and a TNA event would be great.

House shows in Canada haven't worked because they aren't marketed well. My brother's friend is a professional indy wrestler down in Toronto. When they came to the city last year he only heard about it the day of show. So until they start with a sound marketing strategy they can't assume that house shows in Canada would be bad.

People are complaining about the marketing. Maybe they need a third party promoter for the Canada tour just like in the UK. Maybe they need a third party promoter for ALL their on-the-road shows in the US because TNA do a shit job of it themselves.
