I enjoyed one Alissa Flash vs Sarita match over the majority of Knockouts matches from 2008. So yeah.

Re: Velvet's new look

Oh, there has been ample misuse. Some if it was on Russo, though not all. TNA was getting cheap already back then too. The new regime (then) apparently blew the division up, especially in 2010.

I liked the some of this and little of that approach the division once had. It was generally a fresher more engaging product that made you appreciate it's offerings. The recent product is just........there.

Her look is perfect for playing as the "top gal" (please don't use the term "diva") for TNA.

Re: Velvet's new look

terrible on the mic. barely passable in the ring. and not attractive at all to me. She has a trailer park-k mart glam look to her. I see WHY people think she is attractive, but her look does nothing for me.

Which is pretty much the opposite of what once made the Ko's a highlight of the brand. As opposed to a now less relevant part of a less domestically viewed promotion.

At this point, seeing Velvet looking hot for the sake of it is as good as anything else. Very little of what TNA's women are doing serves any real purpose anymore. It's incredible to think that a few short years ago TNA had a women's division that was arguably second to none in America overall.

They need to bring in someone clued in just to direct and book the women. And allot them a standard like amount of time. Pritchard is struggling enough overall trying to retain and regain an audience and isn't the person to right this sinking ship.
Second to none? I don't think any company can beat Shimmer Women Athletes when it comes to being the best. They have the best female wrestlers, and are a female company so the focus is solely on the women.

Only good sustained year was 2009 b/c of the influx of talent like Alissa Flash, Sarita, & Hamada to compliment workers like Kong, Wilde, & Roxxi. All other years have been one or two matches or NONE worth seeing. I'll never understand this infatuation some had with the division when it was only ever "good" when it centered around Kong destroying everyone.

I know it is b/c it was women actually trying to make something feel worthwhile as opposed to the mess known as WWE's Divas division.
As far as good years go. 2008 was a good year for the KOs. Ratings wise it was good because it actually became a draw for TNA, and as well as that the knockout in the company at the time, were a lot more competitive because they were all trying to earn a place. 2009 and 2007 were good years too. It was only post 2010 that the knockout division went downhill.

And don't forget that they were also beautiful. Seriously, I don't see why the TNA stay with people like Velvet who maybe hot but they are talentless on the ring when in the indys, you get many girls who are hot and can wrestle and probably talk ( I don't really watch indys womens ). They can just get some womens and that's it, they have a kick-ass division

I agree. It certainly doesn't hurt to have both looks and talent. Not at all.

Re: Velvet's new look

Out of the Beautiful People, Velvet had the mic skills, while Angelina had the in ring skills.

Re: Velvet's new look

KOs division in 2009 was on fire. Daffney, ODB, Tara, Sarita, Alissa Flash, Kong, Hamada, TBP, Kong, Wilde, Roxxi. If they kept Gail Kim, that division would've went through the roof (I mean that in a good way)

And Russo used none of them correctly. KOs division in 2009 was garbage.
