TNA to air in Japan

TNAInsider has had a long history of announcing television deals way before TNA or other networks have announced formal deals. Today I can announce that TNA will be airing in Japan. NTV G+, a sports subsidiary to major television network NTV will carry TNA Impact Wrestling and Pay Per View events every Saturday night starting at 8pm. As of right now the plan is to include Japanese subtitles on to the standard English broadcasts. G+ is currently airing staggered Pro Wrestling NOAH and some smaller special Indy federation events as well as the NFL and other American sports.

Re: TNA to air in Japan

That's huge, big wrestling market over there. Making a tour similar to UK in Japan should be a priority.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

Re: TNA to air in Japan

Its pretty hard to draw in Japan these days. Especially for a foreign market. Apart from the big supershows, they just dont care about wrestling how they used to. The only way anyone draws over there is by doing the big Tokyo Dome shows with all the promotions mixed in together. Sending over a TNA crew to work on some New Japan shows would be a smarter way of raising awareness than doing a tour.

I'd like to see more cross-promotion from TNA, maybe send a few guys to NJPW again like they used to do.

They did that in the past with Wrestling Kingdom from NJPW but I don't know the numbers, angle did his last great matches during that tour. I wonder if NOAH and TNA can create similar ppv with economic success.

Nice, the wrestling fans are more intelligent than those in USA

What if WCW won the Monday Night Wars?

Here's what I think would have happened: http://inthesquaredcircle.blogspot.c...ight-wars.html

That may be true, but TNA might still be a success there in spite of that fact
