Wedding bells will ring on Thursday's IMPACT broadcast as Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan will be married LIVE in the middle of the ring! The big question is, how will Brooke's father - the legendary Hulk Hogan - react to the wedding? Will he let his daughter marry Bully Ray? Or, will he use his power to try and stop the ceremony from taking place? The entire wrestling world will be watching on Thursday night to find out what happens!

Thursday's IMPACT will also feature the aftermath from the "Genesis" event! Jeff Hardy is still the World Heavyweight Champion after defending the gold against Austin Aries and Bobby Roode! What's next for "The Charismatic Enigma" as the road to March's "Lockdown" begins? Tune in and find out!

Also at Genesis: Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez retained the Tag Team Title, Rob Van Dam beat Christian York to keep the X Division Title, Velvet Sky is the new #1 Contender to the Knockouts Title, Christopher Daniels beat James Storm to earn a shot the World Heavyweight Championship on the January 24 IMPACT, and "The Icon" Sting returned to action and beat D.O.C. from the Aces and Eights!

Also on Thursday's IMPACT on SpikeTV, the contestants from TNA GUT CHECK will face the judges! Will they earn contracts and become members of the roster - or will they fall short in their quest to make it big in pro wrestling?

All this and much more on Thursday's IMPACT WRESTLING broadcast on SpikeTV at 8/7c

Well Jericho has beef with Bischoff and has notable knocked TNA. Edge prematurely ended his career from injuries. Batista has never said anything bad about TNA (Especially nothing like Jericho tweets), and Batista left the WWE not because of injuries. He's still healthy.

Those examples are kind of apples/oranges.

Again, improbable but not impossible.

Just watched the show and DAMN WHAT AN EPIC ENDING.
We all know this Aces & 8s thing was going soft but damn TAZ a member? I'm looking forward to the next weeks show. GOD DAMN.

I WAS SHOCKED AS FUCK.

Review:

Matches
- Hardy/Storm vs. Bad Influence was solid tag team action, Kaz still bumps like a boss, and Daniels is a boss. Fingers crossed for a title change next week!
- Kenny King/Christian York I liked more than tag match, these guys (especially KK) improved a lots since joining the roster, and with this being the unoffical #1 contenders match, I hope one of them (KK I guess) takes the title of off Bob ASAP.
- Velvet Sky/Gail Kim was pretty good if you ask me. Gail carried Sky, of course, but that don't matter if it was good stuff and storytelling, and this was one. Good job girls.

Segments
- Gutcheck I liked less than months before, as I feel the judges should've just simply said if they are giving the contract to Bradley or Cage, not eliminate Cage, and then deciding the fate of Bradley. Still, hell yeah, welcome Jay Bradley!
- Hogan & Sting segment was fine, Hogan sold well and kept me interested, and Sting is Sting, he's always been a great talker.
- Aries and Roode shoot down both TNA and the Tag champs, well done guys. Great segment that even a horrible Chavo didn't ruin!
- The wedding was decent, and the swerve.... Well, nobody saw it CUMMING, alright? I was shocked, I know that. How TAZMANIA will work out for TNA & Aces? I don't know, I'll let the time decide. IMO, it'll be good for the group as long as they find him a good, badass role; and the announce desk, because Taz (hopefully) WAS the horrible fucking commentator. And finally, AnE got their heat back.

Overall

Strong show. 8/10

I thought the wedding was going to be complete garbage...but if I'm being honest I really enjoyed it and the swerve at the end really got me more into the whole Ace's and 8's angle. I think this is where they've been going wrong so far with the A&8's is that they always promise a reveal, so we as fans expect it to be something really good, then it always falls short. This time though, we had no idea that the twist was going to be Ace's and 8's related and when Taz pulled his jacket off and turned around I could have marked!

Apart from that you could see that they hadn't really put much thought into this episode of Impact as it was all based around the wedding. Everything else on the show seemed to be a re-hash of stuff from the PPV apart from the Chavo/Hernandez/Aries/Roode segment which they then worked into the wedding bit.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mma-c...ings-spike-were-mixed-bag-203745464--mma.html

this yahoo article says that iMPACT had in fact 1.82 million viewers!!!! what the fuck is going on around here. what IS the Actual number? 1.6 or 1.8 because if they did 1.8 then that's like REALLY HIGH for them at this time!!

However, it failed significantly in several other categories. It had a strong lead-in from TNA Impact Wrestling, which averaged 1.82 million viewers, and failed to keep it. Bellator MMA Live shed 49 percent of the audience the wrestling show delivered.

It gets better Dreamer comes here for Cutting Edge Wrestling, an indie show and than comes back in June for Legend City Wrestling along with Sonjay Dutt..there local competition. Legends just nabbed a local tv deal so that'll be interesting.

I heard he might be in the rumble as well.

Thanks to the local indies we\ve been able to see Nash, Steiner, Rhino, Cabana, Bret and a host of others.

1.8 million is around a 1.2 rating. They've regularly done 1.8 million viewers for years. Just recently they have slipped down to 1.5 million viewers.

EDIT: Just read the article. It says Impact "failed to keep" 1.8 million viewers. Meaning at one stage in the night there was 1.8 million watching. It didn't average 1.8 million viewers.

So i was right about bellator (LOL at Tony316 & charmed for questioning my opinion on bellator).

Expect a massive dip for next weeks show. Fans won't have been impressed.

I wonder if Bellator fans were saying the same stuff about TNA last Thursday on their forums :lol

One had to assume Impact would end with Aces and Eights coming in to interrupt the wedding. Perhaps the timing was off a few seconds. The ending was a bit of a shocker. Now that Tazz is with the Aces, it'll be interesting to see where they go with it, and more importantly, see what other additions to the storyline are ahead.

I really, really enjoyed this weeks Impact Wrestling.
The crowd reaction to the Taz swerve was brilliant - especially that girl with the glasses and Jeff Hardy T-shirt going "WHAT?? WHAT??? WHAT??"
(if you didn't notice you should rewatch it..)
It was fantastic wasn't it! I thought TNA was getting a bit stale then BAM! they hit you from the side with a shocker like that, I loved it. Breathed new life into the whole show.
I wonder who the other non-obvious members of Aces & 8s are?

--

Did anyone else think that Hardy kicking out of Aries finisher at Genesis was totally lame and unbelievable? Shouldn't have happened.
