Wedding bells will ring on Thursday's IMPACT broadcast as Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan will be married LIVE in the middle of the ring! The big question is, how will Brooke's father - the legendary Hulk Hogan - react to the wedding? Will he let his daughter marry Bully Ray? Or, will he use his power to try and stop the ceremony from taking place? The entire wrestling world will be watching on Thursday night to find out what happens!
Thursday's IMPACT will also feature the aftermath from the "Genesis" event! Jeff Hardy is still the World Heavyweight Champion after defending the gold against Austin Aries and Bobby Roode! What's next for "The Charismatic Enigma" as the road to March's "Lockdown" begins? Tune in and find out!
Also at Genesis: Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez retained the Tag Team Title, Rob Van Dam beat Christian York to keep the X Division Title, Velvet Sky is the new #1 Contender to the Knockouts Title, Christopher Daniels beat James Storm to earn a shot the World Heavyweight Championship on the January 24 IMPACT, and "The Icon" Sting returned to action and beat D.O.C. from the Aces and Eights!
Also on Thursday's IMPACT on SpikeTV, the contestants from TNA GUT CHECK will face the judges! Will they earn contracts and become members of the roster - or will they fall short in their quest to make it big in pro wrestling?
All this and much more on Thursday's IMPACT WRESTLING broadcast on SpikeTV at 8/7c
No big suprise. Viewership was up! This weeks Impact Wrestling did 1.60 million viewers. Up from last weeks 1.3 million viewers.
So most likely between 1.10-1.20 rating.
Now the question is if it will hold up. Doubt it though.
I like how Hogan told Brooke not to worry about him, go check on Bully, and she leaned over and said "MY BOOBS ARE FALLING OUT" with the camera right there.
I don't know about patches or rockers, but the "VP" always has the "Aliens" biker mask. Last night that mask was there in a blackhood with the ball peen hammer. I can only assume, from the mask, that it was the VP.
I actually thought the fat guy in the mask with the Darth Vader voice was Samoa Joe in the early days of the angle, but yeah, it is pretty obvious that it is D-Lo at this point.
Good show.. enjoyed it. One of the very few wedding themed wrestling shows I dont have a problem with. Everything was done perfectly. Never saw Taz heel turn coming, it was a good surprise. This has definitely sparked my interest in An8's again.
I'd say it's "unlikely" not "delusional". Kurt Angle was one of the highest paid (THE HIGHEST according to him) WWE superstar in 2006 and when he left the WWE and then signed to TNA, I don't think anyone predicted that (Especially considering iMPACT! was only on Spike for 1 year at that time).
TNA was at a much different level at the time. And it's been shown that Kurt "FREAKIN" Angle isn't exactly all there in his mind. Don't know if anyone would consider his jump a smart move except for him b/c he got the world and every outlet of the spotlight when he came.
I'll never take anything he says for fact. That's the first mistake right there.
Well you can argue the finances, but it's hard to argue that Angle wasn't a top WWE star and still a draw when he left. He still is. He could probably milk a WWE comeback just as good as The Rock and Brock have been this past year.
Although, like you stated, Angle probably burned a few too many bridges with WWE to just jump back in. Batista apparently is still on really good terms (Despite knocking the PG product).
Batista rumor for Aces is on par with Jericho or Edge. It's way out of left field and only brought up by a fanboy or two b/c those ex-WWE names aren't currently employed by the company.
I wouldn't buy into it at all. If I'm wrong...well so be it. I'll buy those who believed it a drink. That's their prize.
