Re: TNA Wrestling Announces Major Changes To 2013 Pay-Per-View Strategy
I dont understand why someone that enjoys a brand would read spoilers for a entire show and not watch it.Whats the point of even being a fan.I dont think spoils is a factor for that many people.Probably a small percent that do so.
Only thing is doesn't Genesis seem a bit week ? All it will be is a new beginning. Thats the only big thing about that ppv with only 4 now.I guess it could be good with everything ending at BFG. Then a couple months to build up new feuds that start at that event.

Sounds cool, some ideas are promising but like any new project I think some of them are experiments.

Smackdown never did anything for me just for that reason, why would I stay in and watch a pre-recorded event when I can go out and do something and catch a stream later since I can find out the results probably days before the ppv.
Seems like they're doing everything to save money on the product, why? So they can give Hogan a larger cut....

Dam right brother! This has nothing to do with dixie and most wrestling fans wanting less ppvs per year, hogan just needs more money so TNA is going to change their whole ppv format to pay up hogan because his spike tv contract isn't enough.

Don't act like it's not a factor.
When HHs contract is up Dixie will have some spare cash to throw at him. She'll probably grovel at his feet during negotiations.

Mark out moment once I heard about the new themes of these one night only PPV's.
However - they aren't going to be too successful. For once, TNA need to be giving these PPV's for free on television, especially since they're taped. Try a different day of the week or even time. I'm not having it that Spike wouldn't allow this - it's there highest rated show.

Yeah, I would have liked to have seen Destination X on the PPV lineup instead of Genesis, but maybe they'll still have Destination X as a special edition of iMPACT...

He resigned with spike/TNA during the summer.
Maybe they are gonna use a time machine and use this money to offer hogan a even better contract in the past.

DX is a dead ppv with the One Night Only all XD Xtravaganza and a World X Cup. The only one aspect that should be salvaged is option C which I covered in a longer post a page or two back.
In reality the PPV names are meaningless...it's 4 big shows. Genesis simply represents the first of the four and building it as a big A show will gain better buyrates than a big X Division PPV. This years Genesis will not be a sign of what it will be like come next year, as it will have more time to build next year.

This...sounds...AWESOME!
I'm a regular TNA PPV buyer, so at first I was a bit disappointed with the original announcement of scaling back to four PPVs. But I do give credit to Dixie Carter for being willing to try new things. And, yes, if they build them up well, the four live PPVs should be that much more awesome.
Looking forward to a great year for TNA!
