How many times do we have to keep doing fucking ECW reunions? Let the shit die already. It was not that good.

Re: TNA Wrestling Announces Major Changes To 2013 Pay-Per-View Strategy
Let's take a look at the new PPV schedule:
January 13th - Genesis
(Two-month gap)
March 10th - Lockdown
(Three-month gap)
June 9th - Slammiversary
(Four-month gap)
October 13th - Bound For Glory
(Three-month gap)
I hope they change this schedule. If they keep it the same, that would mean Lockdown would get only two months of build, yet Genesis itself would get three months of build. Bound For Glory would get four months. I'm not sure what to think of that. It's a bit too long for my liking. Nonetheless, I would prefer that if any of the PPV's build has to get cut by one month, it should be Genesis. Lockdown is definitely a bigger PPV than Genesis. Put Genesis in December and problem would be solved, though that would defeat the whole purpose of the name "Genesis". They could rename the December PPV Final Resolution.

Ha! If WWE can promote John Cena vs The Rock as "once in a lifetime" and have them go at it again this year......
Just kidding. Seriously though, I like the name One Night Only. It sounds pretty cool. The people who are complaining about Bound for Glory's $45 price tag must not buy any of WWE's PPVs, as they're priced at $45 as well. Let alone Wrestlemania's price tag of $55. What people need to take away from this is that $45 for BFG is going to be worth it this year. We're talking about close to 4 months of build up after Slammiversary. That sounds pretty awesome. Plus, the One Night Only PPV's are $15 and should feature some awesome matches. It sounds worth it to me.

Nice. That might help UK get a (taped) PPV.

I thought they were going to be free but they are just cheaper pre-taped PPVs. They sound good apart from the ECW and Knockouts ones.

Re: TNA Wrestling Announces Major Changes To 2013 Pay-Per-View Strategy
I think the gist is that the overall direction of Impact will be aimed towards building from one major pay-per-view to the next. For example, once Genesis finishes on Sunday, the major weekly build will be for Lockdown in March. The seven smaller pay-per-views are just gimmick specials, as you can see from the show previews posted earlier in this thread. It's nothing at all like the In Your House setup WWE had in the mid-to-late '90s, which were, in fact, just regular-styled pay-per-views, stripped down. With that said, if the upcoming mini-ppv is, say, X-Division-themed, I would expect that branch of the roster to get some build towards that specific show on Impact, but the overall show will be aimed towards the next major pay-per-view.

Re: TNA Wrestling Announces Major Changes To 2013 Pay-Per-View Strategy
probably the best business decision they've taken in recent years. hopefully more buys for the ppvs though, although it will definetely will take the good matches away (i mean guys like AJ and Aries had like 6-7 ****+ matches on ppv alone last year).

I was excited reading the first paragraph because I figured TNA finally figured it out after all these years and then I see the "One Night Only" (with the Smackdown colors and artwork) and couldn't help but to shake my head...unreal...

Not only that, 7 are going to be pre-taped, meaning we're going to know the results before they even air. Not to mention, those PPV's are designed to be virtually meaningless, giving no one any reason to bother watching. This has disaster written all over it. Even at the discounted rates, no one is going to buy.

Re: TNA Wrestling Announces Major Changes To 2013 Pay-Per-View Strategy
I still think it should be 6 ppvs a year, 1 every 2 months. And what about the Destination X stip where the X Division champ at the time can cash in his title for a shot at the World title. What happens to that now?
