Wrestling fans.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

Didn't WWE ppvs average more buys in 2012 then 2011?

Regardless, clearly the reason for TNA doing this is to lose less money on ppvs due to the costs & the damage they've done to their own ppvs in the past. Don't know if they'll make any money doing this but it's better then losing a lot more doing it the old way.

-If you're going to have PPVs dedicated to the X-Division then you need to build the division up.

-Friday is a terrible night for wrestling.

-They don't need 7 TNA One Night Only Shows. Can you imagine them doing a One Night Only Show on the first friday of the month 3 weeks after 1 of the big 4 PPV's? Not good.

-The structure allows for better build to important matches & moments. Huge positive.

Well they might forced to put something on due to domestic/international contracts so that's why 7. Plus depending on whether or not they involve storylines from Impact or are just pure gimmick-themed ppvs like an all KO show or an all hardcore show it may not matter.

I think this is a good idea. It'd be a nice hook for Slammy, which hasn't really had one since KotM ended. This plus the Hall of Fame announcement would be nice to have every year at Slammy on the road (I hated the couple years it was in IZ).

I love the idea but even myself that is a Die hard fan.Im not sure i will pay into all of these events. I only order 3 events a year. BFG Slammy and Lockdown. This is why i was hoping they would be "One night only" TV specials. I still think they need to do this on a new channel or something. Regardless its still great to see a change in format. Been wanting it.
I have basically been buying those three for years now too (I think I brought Against All Odds once or twice, but that's it.) I like Genesis, but it might be a tough sale for most people with the Royal Rumble (which is the only non-WM WWE show I'd consider buying at this point.)

You said it. You dont seem to have an opinion. You just seem to throw out the obligatory bit of unfunny sarcasm when you are stuck for an argument.

2014 might be the year buyrates go to 14,000 buys. Thats better than dying at least.

Another thing about these PPV specials, they probably won't be available to purchase the 1st evening it airs. It will probably be up for like 3 or 4 weeks. It seems like the Unfinished Business special has been available to order for like a month now. So you wouldn't have to order the show on a Friday night and TNA are probably counting on some fans who read/hear good things about the show's wrestling quality will order it (although many will still probably just downloaded it off some torrent) and casual who happen to see it on their PPV list or when TNA advertises it will make a purchase. It's something new for TNA and if they lose more money than they make they will likely change up their strategy again.
