Default 12/11 IMPACT SPOILERS (For 12/20 and 12/27 IMPACT Shows)

December 20th Episode
-Jeff Hardy defeated Austin Aries to retain the World Heavyweight Title. The original referee was knocked out during the match. Bobby Roode interfered at that point, laying out the referee. He then made a pinfall for Aries; who turned around into the Double R Spinebuster. Hardy then picked up the win.

-Hulk Hogan comes to the ring. He brags about how good 2012 has been for IMPACT Wrestling. About we will decide the best of 2012 and find out who that is on January 3rd. Hogan is interrupted by the Aces and 8s who run down what they have done this year and say next year will be better. They circle Hogan and are about to attack when the 1.3.13 video airs. After we find out nothing is happening, Bully Ray makes the save for Hogan. It seems like Hogan and Ray are now on the same terms.

December 27th Episode
-Its Open Fight Night on this episode. Samoa Joe starts the show by calling out a member of the Aces and 8s. The member (Mike Knox) obliges. Joe wins the match with the Coquina Clutch. He is about to unmask him when the other Aces and 8s run to the ring. Joe retreats before he is attacked.

-We get a bizarre in-ring segment involving the two Robbies and Jessie and Tara. Robbie E challenges Jessie to a "bro off." Robbie E dances followed by Jessie flexing and then military pressing Tara over her head. At that point, Robbie T military presses Robbie E over his head and follows that up with a dance. Again, a bizarre but somewhat entertaining segment.

-Rob Van Dam calls out Christian York. He defeats him in a competitive match with the 5 Star Frog Splash.

-Bully Ray comes out and calls out Hulk Hogan for a chat tonight. Instead, Brooke Hogan comes to the ring. Apparently, Hulk isn't here tonight. Brooke talks about there being pictures showing the truth. Bully doesn't know what Brooke is talking about as both of them leave the ring.

-Austin Aries comes to the ring. He said he had Hardy beaten fair and square last week if it hadn't been for Bobby Roode. He hypes up an Austin Aries vs Bobby Roode match for tonight.

-Christopher Daniels comes to the ring and brags about how great his year has been. He jokes about the last match ever between AJ Styles but really means the last match until the next match between the two. AJ Styles' music hits and Kazarian (dressed up like AJ) comes to the ring. Kazarian acts like AJ and whines about how bad the year has been for him; even saying that he should call up Claire Lynch again. After some more taunting of AJ, Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez interrupt; eventually setting up a tag team match.

Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez beat Bad Influence after Chavo pinned Kazarian with a Frog Splash. Kazarian did a bunch of AJ's moves in the match but missed his Flying Forearm to set up the finish.

-Gail Kim came to the ring and called out the woman who ended her undefeated streak, Brooke Tessmacher. The two had a match which saw Gail defeated Brooke with the Eat Defeat.

-Austin Aries vs Bobby Roode went to a No Contest. Both guys tried to outcheat each other. Jeff Hardy was watching the match from the crowd. After the referee gave up on the match, Hardy came in and laid out both Aries and Roode.

Xplosion
-Mickie James and ODB defeated Tara and Madison Rayne

Outcheating each other does sound pretty funny.

I'm all for not rushing storylines and everything but a lot of things seem to be going at a snails pace. It's getting to the point where it feels like I'm watching reruns every Thursday night.

Ugh, these sound depressing. Not to mention the only program that seems to have any progression is the World Title scene. Which, I have to say is the only bright spot.

Daniels goes from beating Styles to jobbing to Team TexMex. Ok. That's real effective.

Roode vs. Aries sounds like fun and a Daniels/Kaz promo always delivers but the rest of the shows look dull. And for a faction that's supposed to be dangerous Aces & 8s are sure getting beat alot.

Again, it doesn't feel like that much happened.

They are varying things up a bit more with the divisions which is nice. Instead of getting Tara, her challenger at the next PPV, and their tag partners in various combinations for four weeks, they are actually showcasing more of the girls. Gail Vs. Tessmacher, Velvet Vs. Madison, & Mickie still working with Tara. With the Tag Division they are at least trying to make it look like they have depth with The Champs, Ryan & Morgan, Bad Influence, The Robbies, Aces & Eights, & I guess the new duo of Brisco & Bischoff. And the X Division is at least starting to work Christian York into the mix (though he is yet to win a match) and they are giving Kenny King some direction, and just last week they gave Kid Kash & Zema Ion some screen time.

They could still do better, but it is a nice change of pace from the usual "Challenger gets mad at Champion, probably wins a non title match, and then they have tag matches every week until the PPV" type of deal we usually get.

But other than that though, it doesn't feel like that much happened or progressed beyond where we were before.

Predicted Genesis Card is...

- Jeff Hardy -c- Vs. Austin Aries Vs. Bobby Roode: Triple Threat for World Title = Is there any other possibility based on what we're seeing here? It isn't the freshest match, but it is the two best heels in the company going for the gold, so it has that going for it.

- James Storm Vs. Christopher Daniels = Wild guess on my part but it would be a good set up for AJ to cost Storm a big match and set up Aj's heel turn and a feud down the road.

- Devon -c- Vs. Bully Ray: Television Title = This is more wishful thinking. I'd like to see them wrap up this feud or at least come back to it again and hey, it'd be nice for Bully to win a title, right?

- Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez -c- Vs. Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan: Tag Team Titles No DQ Match = Seems like that would be the carry over from the last PPV. Hopefully Morgan & Ryan win the titles here and they do something big with Ryan following it.

- Rob Van Dam -c- Vs. Kenny King: X Division Championship = Seems likely with King's heel turn. I would probably hold off on a rematch and give the turn time to develop but hey, it is 2012 and that is what companies do now, so yeah.

- Tara -c- Vs. Velvet Sky: Knockout Championship = It would be HEAVILY rushed to give Velvet a title shot this quickly after her return, but again, I wouldn't be surprised if that is what they did.

- And then some other kind of TNA Vs. Aces & Eights type of match is to be expected. Probably Angle, Joe, & the returning Sting taking on 3 members or something.
