Genuinely had no idea that this was this weekend. Probably b/c I only got round to watching Turning Point last week.

I guess Aries/Bully, Joe/Devon (match on impact this week will probably have a screwy finish), some random RVD X Division match and probably something else I'm forgetting will be added. Aries/Bully is the only thing I've got an interest in here really assuming it's added. Everything else screams filler. Oh well

ONE FINAL TIME
Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles
Why don't I believe this tagline.

So far the card doesn't get me hot.

Hardy vs Roode is the only interesting pairing and is a good match up despite the very mild build-up so far.

AJ vs Daniels means high match quality, but I've seen this pairing far too often. It's more of a wrestling eye candy.

The other 2 I'm completely indifferent about. The tag team match is the worst. The only guy who doesn't usually get me to turn off/switch forward is Joey Ryan. Even he could use some improvement, instead he is terribly paired with Matt Morgan... Please, someone shows me where Matt hides his "charisma"! After all those years I still search for the reason why people desperately want him to get over.

To save the card TNA should involve A&8's strongly and add some creative under card match ups.

Why don't I believe this tagline.
Because you heard that before.

In reality they probably won't be fighting each other in TNA for 18 months. Tag team and multi men matches will not be included.

I can only hope that's true. Daniels deserves some fresh feuds that isn't with terrible people like Chavo and Hernandez.

The before the bell thing for those two is okay, although mostly they are. Found it amusing that AJ basically said he's sick of fighting Daniels in the first few minutes since he sums up my thoughts on it pretty well. Someone should go back and see how many matches AJ has won between the two. Would be super nice if Daniels can get the win in this to use as a springboard to more greatness. Might be the best chance he has with AJ's character on a downward slump. I'd definitely agree with whoever said this could do with a gimmick though. Their LMS at DX was fun because it was different, if you'd put these two in a steel cage i'd maybe care about it. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong but like AJ even said in that before the bell, if you've seen one of their matches you've kinda seen them all.

Another solid B4B. Really looking forward to Aries/Bully 2 after watching it.

Predictions:

MAIN EVENT: WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Bobby Roode vs. "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy (c)
Probably gonna be solid, but I don't care tbh. Maybe because the champ is a babyface. Maybe because this will be their 3d-4th match against each other. Not sure. Just don't really care.
Jeff wins btw.

ONE FINAL TIME
Christopher Daniels vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles
I don't mind seeing another battle between these two again, actually. I hate seeing the exact same matches/spots/etc, not competitors. These guys always come up with something new, so, I have no problem with this one.
Daniels MUST win.

BULLY RAY VS. AUSTIN ARIES
INB4 MOTN. Gonna be stiff, gonna be fun, gonna be good.
Aries wins via DQ.

ACES & EIGHTS VS. KURT ANGLE, SAMOA JOE, GARETT BISCHOFF & WES BRISCO
8 man tags are almost always fun to watch, so Im looking forward to this one as well. Garett and Wes can shit on it, but hey, I believe in Joe and Kurt. Also interested in seeing whos gonna be teaming with Devon,Doc and Knox. Masters? Bradley? We'll see.
Aces&8s win after Garett and Wes turn heel.

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez (c)
Whatever.

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Kenny King vs. Rob Van Dam (c)
This can be good... or shitty. RVD is stale and a fucking slacker. Plus, we don't know if they have any chemistry, 'cause if they don't, this can be botchy as fuck.
RVD wins clean.

KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP
Mickie James vs. Tara (c)
Their match at Turning Point 2010 was very good. They CAN deliver. With Jesse around they can easily fuck it all up tho.
Mickie wins and then we waste our time on her feud with Velvet Sky.

Aries vs Bully II

If the match is half as good as it was on sacrifice, this ppv is worth getting.

#16 ·
REALLY looking forward to:

Styles/Daniels
Aries/Bully
Roode/Hardy

Those three matches make the show for me. Like the dude above, I'm also interested in seeing who teams with Devon/Knox/Doc, sure hope it isn't VP D-Lo. I would enjoy the X-Div title match but I can't stand RVD, would love a miracle KK win but not happening.

Good card overall.

The card has been updated. The image for Bully/Aries was screwy so it's not here but that doesn't matter. As previous posters mentioned earlier, Hardy/Roode and Styles/Daniels will be the obvious highlights of the show. I willing to bet this show WILL NOT bet the final time Styles and Daniels face each other one on one. So much history with that feud and many quality wrestling matches. Some of the best in TNA history. I'm sure they will work hard to produce the goods once again.

This video was added too:

As for match predictions

Hardy over Roode. Hardy will probably hold the championship to Lockdown at least imo. This main event should be very good and I'm thinking better than their other matches this past year.

Daniels over AJ. Daniels picking up the victory can add more fuel to AJ's frustrations on his recent lack of success. I wouldn't be surprised if Kaz and Storm were involved. If AJ is eventually turning heel, Storm seems like the obvious feud since it was Storm in fact who defeated AJ last month at Turning Point to keep him from getting a World title match for a year.

It's going to be fun seeing Aries & Bully reverse roles from their Sacrifice match in May. That match was extremely good and physical and this match should maintain that physicality although the story is much different. I predict Aries to get a cheat victory.

I can see Aces & 8s gaining another sneaky victory over the TNA guys although it could go either way. No matter the decision I would like to see another reveal from A&8. It'll probably just be Al Snow or D-Lo.

Happy to see Kenny King get some TV and PPV time this week. I want him to win the X-Division title and have some substantial feuds with it but I think RVD is going over, and King goes back to sidelines unfortunately.

Not really looking forward to the tag titles match but I predict the Chavo/Hernandez run to continue a bit more. Morgan will continue his beef with Hogan on Impact.

Mickie wins the Knockouts Title, ends feud with Tara at the close of the year and moves on to Velvet Sky.

Could be a decent show.

MAIN EVENT: WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy (champion)

Trying really hard tocare about this but gettingnowhere. Hardy wins, I don't think Roode can drag a good match out of him but hey, I'd gladly be surprised. Doubt it'll top the Aries' matches.

ONE FINAL TIME
Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles

Only really invested in this if Daniels wins. It's the perfect time for it to FINALLY happen but I just get the feeling TNA are gonna LOL NOPE us and have AJ stand tall.

Bully Ray vs. Austin Aries

Like the only real reason to care about this. Aries works better as the heel imo so there's every chance they up their game from Sacrifice. If this gets more time than that match (which was my major gripe with it really) and its hogan free then :mark:
8 MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
Aces & Eights vs. Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Garett Bischoff & Wes Brisco

Don't care, Aces win b/c why not. Keep them strong and all

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez (champions)

Highly likely to be a trainwreck of a match with the only possible shining light being Ryan and Morgan winning. Mainly because it keeps Morgan out of the upper card, gives Ryan a belt and also restricts half the time Morgan actually has to wrestle. But yeah this has 3 atrocious guys and one okay guy. Pass.

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Kenny King vs. Rob Van Dam (champion)

I'd like King to win but its ROB VAN DAM so probably not. Hopefully something half decent though, Zema Ion got something out of him so why not Kenny

KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP
Mickie James vs. Tara (champion)

Legit haven't seen one promo or interaction between those two so im guessing tara retains for the hell of it. Also Velvets back (sigh)

It's going to be fun seeing Aries & Bully reverse roles from their Sacrifice match in May. That match was extremely good and physical and this match should maintain that physicality although the story is much different. I predict Aries to get a cheat victory.
It's Aries trying to get in Bully's head again but for totally different reasons. The story behind this is real solid and has Aries in a cocky role and Bully wanting to pulverise him, much like Sacrifice but at the same time everything's changed. Seriously hoping they just get the time to go out there and tear the house down because it's not like the ppv is accomplishing anyway, at least give me a MOTYC and no Hogans. plz

#20 ·
Now that I think about it there's a small chance of hogan screwing bully ray and joining Aries.
AA is just the spokesman, bully ray is the one doing fucking his daughter business (allegedly)

#22 ·
I love the direction TNA has been going, so much freshness, from the aces and eights to the world title picture that is so well stacked, they are finally firing on all cylinders.

I love that after a decade of WWE light and Wcw 2.0, Tna is finally pushing its young guys to carry the show And although Rvd, Chavo & Bully are not young guys.....they are playing their positions to the best of their abilities and not hogging any of the spotlight.

I say all that to say, i cannot wait for this ppv

#24 ·
See, I fear that they'll put a stigma on what could be another unbelievable match between Bully & Aries by having Brooke or Hulk, or both, get involved. I know they're part of the story. Only they need to do the involvement pre or post match. Let the match between the two great characters evolve on it's own. It's one pessimistic view that I'm almost certain will occur.

Thoughts & Predictions

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Rob Van Dam -c- Vs. Kenny King
- This one suffers from rushing someone into the contenders spot. It is a case that is all too typical in this day and age. Win one match and you get the title shot. It's that simple! However, I am glad that they've brought Kenny King back and hopefully he shows off well enough to get featured more often. I'll go with Rob Van Dam to retain.

TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez -c- Vs. Joey Ryan & Matt Morgan
- Yet another case of rushing a contender, probably due to the fact that the tag team division doesn't have a whole lot of depth at the moment. I like how TNA handled Joey Ryan's introduction and quest to get a contract with TNA. Since then though he has been rushed into two straight title matches with little build where as if it were up to me, he would probably still be on the path to facing RVD for the title next month. Oh well, this is our tag title match and hopefully it is good. I wouldn't be shocked if Ryan & Morgan actually won the titles and that is who I'll go with. It just seems like the more interesting option and they've put way more into Ryan & Morgan as characters than they have Chavo & Hernandez (BTW, isn't it strange that Morgan & Hernandez is happening AGAIN?!?!).

KNOCKOUT CHAMPIONSHIP
Tara -c- Vs. Mickie James
- We've seen this match a dozen times, but it is nice to see Mickie back on TV and on PPV. And the matches these two had together in 2010 were some of the best womens matches TNA has ever produced (not up to the level of Kong/Gail, but still pretty solid). I don't see Tara losing the title here as they seem to want to push her as the top girl for now, so I'll pick her to win it.

EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Wes Brisco, & Garrett Bischoff Vs. The Aces & Eights
- I think we can count on Devon & DOC being two of the four members. After that, it is anybody's guess. Anyways, I don't see The Aces & Eights getting beat here as they seem to want to keep building their heat. It'll be interesting to see how they do it though. I think most of us are expecting Brisco & Bischoff to ultimately be revealed as members of the group. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that here, maybe even do a bit where Wes & Garrett get "taken out" in some unseen attack, forcing Joe & Angle to go at it 4 on 2 and then Wes & Garrett help out As&Es and are unmasked after the match. I'm just throwing ideas out there.

GRUDGE MATCH
Austin Aries Vs. Bully Ray
- The storyline is stupid. Immensely stupid. I could not possibly care any less if Brooke Hogan & Bully Ray are having an affair. It makes no difference to the show or to me and it just feels like yet another weak attempt to create soap opera drama, which they failed miserably at with the Claire Lynch angle just a few months ago. All of that said, it feels like they are going to build up Aries as a top heel rather than what we had gotten at Bound for Glory & Turning Point which felt like more of a rush job. The Lockdown Main Event is most likely going to be Aries/Hardy III and they are probably going to start him off on that run right here, so count on an Aries victory. I expect a very good match though as the bout they had at Sacrifice earlier this year was damn good.

ONE LAST TIME
AJ Styles Vs. Christopher Daniels
- They are calling it "One Last Time" and I pray to God they are telling the truth. I can't take this match anymore. Yes they have good matches. Yes they work well together. But for heaven's sake, we have seen this match more times that I feel I can only describe it in hyperbolic terminology. For me, the best way to go here would be to have Christopher Daniels finally get a significant PPV victory over AJ, and then continue the AJ Styles storyline where he feels like he's lost his touch in whatever direction they want to go in.

TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Jeff Hardy -c- Vs. Bobby Roode
- Well Hardy ain't losing the belt. This is just a throwaway title match that they slapped on because they feel like they have to have a World Title match and Roode is their best heel, so bing bang boom, there you go. Hardy will win in what I am sure will be a good match between these two (I thought they had a very good match at Genesis earlier this year minus the DQ finish).

So yeah, this card isn't bad, but it is very rematch heavy and doesn't have a whole lot of intrigue surrounding it. It feels very "paint by numbers" formula stuff which is kind of a disappointing way to close out the PPV year for the company.

I really hope that Daniels will beat AJ in a clean way and than AJ finally do his heel turn.

bully ray vs Aries has the potential to be the best match of the PPV. Aries was simply brilliant in the recent weeks and I'll be cheering for him.

There is one thing that really bothers me in this card. All of the matches are normal match, Id like to see some stipulations. Something like falls count anywhere for the x division title, no DQ between Daniels and AJ.

I thought Styles/Daniels could have been a cage match for the ONE FINAL TIME encounter. That gimmick would have given a sense of finality to a feud that has ran so long. Although I can see how one more wrestling match to prove the better man ONE FINAL TIME does that as well.

Completely agreed. Fuck the grappling, we've seen them doing math so many times already, just lock them inside the cage, and let them devastate each other silly. Hopefully they pull something off, though.
