TNA needs more x division talent, interesting talent not guys that can do flips in the air.
Talent wants to come in no matter what the booking is, I know people like to pretend TNA is a indy company but it gives whoever comes in exposure. But sadly I think nobody inside TNA sees potential in AAA or NOAH talent.

Ion owes Sorensen quite a bit for him getting over. Even then he never really got much chance to showcase himself. He won the belt randomly and was put in throwaway matches. And I don't consider him a bad wrestler but I definitely prefer his mic work. Shame he'll probably do nothing for a while again now b/c I enjoyed his run. The dangerous twist to his character post neck break definitely helped him a ton and he took the ball and ran with it (when he was given a chance)
Sorensen might have the underdog story and that's great, but he's still totally garbage and I have no reason whatsoever to care about him. I'm happy he's fine and able to wrestle again but I'm really not looking forward to having to sit through his reign of mediocrity. Give me a solid worker like Nese over him anyday (not to mention he had some nice strength to counter his high flying stuff, which nobody else in the division really has)
Also @ the bolded considering they get fuck all screen time, id prefer fun wrestlers over "interesting" character. X Division should put on solid matches with solid guys who can work their characters into a match. I don't give a shit about guys like flip kendrick who just spam spots but if you gave me the choice of a+ ringwork or a+ character work I'd take the first every time in this division. If I want good feuds there's the rest of the card. Look at the best X Division matches this year (imo) in Aries/Shelley and Aries/Joe. They were kinda just there but they were hella fun (iirc aries and shelley might have actually had a good promo segment too but my memory is hazy, if so then that's just an added bonus)

Re: X division could do with a revamp
All the X-Division needs is Chris Sabin vs RVD once he comes back and for Sabin to take the title and face guys like Sonjay, Kenny King, Rubix, ect.

The best x division matches of the year were all made by "ex-old" x division guys.
This is my point, nese and sorensen are not the AJ Styles or the Chris Sabins from 2005. I'm not asking for bigger than life character, just guy with a decent look like christian york for example.
Kenny king is a amazing wrestler, but even he can't stand a chance against 75% of the old x division roster.
TNA needs to cut the fat and make a new x division roster, a while they don't have the talent yet it wouldn't hurt them to give KENTA the belt and have him tour in japan with it.

so RVD will be champ for another 3-6 months? Sabin only tore his knee up 6 months ago. I think ACL's take near a year for full recovery.
Derrick Rose of the Bulls tore his in late april, and is still "a long way away" from returning to practice.

I don't think you understand how much it costs to bring a Japanese wrestler over to do such a thing...They'd have better luck getting Low Ki or Prince Devitt to do it.

You seriously think RVD is fat? One of the most fit dudes ever even for his age. RVD is fun to watch wrestle, but he's not being given much to work with. A swift kick in the X divisions ass needs to happen for van dam to find that inner fire again

Random much. Who says KENTA would even be interested in coming to TNA?
TNA needs to revamp the division. Not stick it on a worker from Japan only to defend it overseas and away from the product. That's just...illogical.

It took Sabin 10 months to recover from a combined MCL and ACL tear along with meniscus problems last time around. D-Rose's situation is much different than the one Sabin has right now. He'll be ready by April or May, that's more than enough time to let RVD run through Ion, King and Dutt and possibly Sorenson.

Re: X division could do with a revamp
Letting RVD run through the entire X-Division roster wouldn't be a good move though. That's the problem.

I don't see why not, might as well have a good reign that Sabin ends instead so that the match actually means something...
