Default Is Hulk Hogan helping or hurting TNA?

Here is an article I wrote recently regarding whether or not Hulk Hogan helps or hurts TNA.

http://www.examiner.com/article/is-h...id=db_articles

So what do you guys think? Do you think his image helps the company or does him being the main focus of the show hurt?

He and Sting are the reason I started watching TNA so he helped gain TNA at least one fan.

Hulk Hogan will draw wrestling fans anywhere. Him stepping out of the ring and taking on the role he has now has definitely helped especially with mainstream attention.

Same here.

Came for the Hogan, Sting, Angle, Hardy etc.

Stayed for the Daniels, Styles, Roode, Storm, other new(to me) guys I grew to like.

Ya. Hogan going to TNA in 09-10 was reason I really started watching. Not so much for him, but just cause it was like watching a bottom of the league sports team, bringing in a big name GM and coach. You'd get interested to see what they'll do with the team

Guys like RVD, Hogan, Jeff Hardy, have names that have put TNA on the map, however, they have been horrible in TNA. Also Kennedy, but he is kind of a nobody compared to those 3.

Hardy, RVD, and Hogan have been terrible throughout their stay in TNA. They have hurt the product, but they are all big draws. With that said, I don't think it's going to get anywhere with Hulk Hogan and Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam, while it may have gotten somewhere if they continued with their

Sting and Kurt Angle are both 2 huge draws; one of WCW's biggest stars, and the only olympic gold medalist in pro wrestling (also was a pretty big deal in WWE), but they have been amazing during their times in TNA.

"Same here.

I feel that this can be true, but I think they've spent too much time on Hogan and Hardy who suck, HARDY IS THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION AS A BABYFACE WHO CAN NOT EVEN CUT A PROMO. Hogan is the authority figure of the show, and he seems so awkward and cheesy in every promo; this isn't the 70's anymore, people want more than what Hogan can give.

I wish I enjoyed this current TNA; I really do. But, it sucks, and it will continue to suck until they realize that all that Hulk Hogan and Jeff Hardy are simply draws who do nothing but be the guy who beat the Iron Sheik to win the WWF championship a really long time ago, and be the guy who jumped off ladders through tables for ten years in WWE.

That is literally all that these guys are anymore. So, to summarize, Hulk Hogan is ruining TNA.

I wish his role in storylines was less.

There are things that annoy me, and it might just be the idiotic Impactzone audience, but when someone is getting beat down, whether it be Sting, Dixie Carter being threatened by Roode, Aces & 8's atacking someone, the fans chant for Hogan....not Angle, Hardy, Storm,, AJ, but for Hogan, a near 60 year old barely able to walk let alone fight old man....like c'mon its embarrassing to the company when Hogan can take out half of the largest villian group in the company single handedly.

Less Hogan is better in my eyes, have him be TNA's ambassador, media appearances, very short GM roles on TV. Not a full blown storyline with Bully and his fucktard of a daughter Brooke.

As much as he has helped get more people to watch tna, I still feel they focus too much on him, he should not be the main focus of storylines in my opinion

I wouldnt even know TNA existed if it werent for Hulk Hogan. I dont necessarily like how much Hogan is involved, but he undoubtedly brought new viewers in (but I'm sure he lost them some viewers too).

I checked TNA out because of Angle and Junkie Hardy and I've stayed because it was different from WWE. Hogan didn't play any role in my situation.
